I own the Lanier VW 110 Transcriber. When I dictate and then rewind, the audio being reviewed comes out of the speaker on the machine itself. The hand held microphone/wand has a speaker on it and I'd like the audio to come from that instead of the base machine. I'd just like to hear the dictation from the microphone, not from the machine. How do I set that up? Thanks so much!

How do I erase the tapes on a Lanier VW-210

Press the telephone button first with one finger and immediately after you press that button press the rewind button, The unit should go into rewind and erase should be flashing on the digital display. When the unit starts rewinding take your finger off of both buttons, if you keep them on ,then the unit will rewind and stop erasing .

Hand microphone for DT 100 does not work. Need replacement mic

MR-9 Microphone for DT-1000
The MR-9 Microphone allows direct dictating to the DT-1000 Transcriber and also permits you to control the playback functions remotely. Remote playback functions include Listen, Fast Forward, Rewind, and Stop. Cord extends to approximately 6 feet.

Lanier VW 210 transcriber beeps like it is at the end of the tape

There is a sensor that detects tape movement. Unfortunately they do go bad and will probably need to be replaced.

Lanier Transcriber unit will not play

Most likley it is a bad motor or a broken belt. There is a seperate motor or FF and Rewind.. If the motor is bad it is likly that the motor control circuit board is bad also (motor shorts and takes out the board also). If there is no "click" when play is selected it could be the play solenoid is dirty and not engaging. I have repaired thousand of these units through the years and in spite of these issues they were a great sounding unit.

BTW this is true for the VW-210, VW-260, p-139 and simular units.
