I have a durabrand portable dvd player and I can not get the battery to recharge. I have unplugged it from the DC in jack and the cord from the wall. Reinserted the battery, then inserted the AC adaptor pllug into the DC in jack on the DVD play and the connect the AC adaptor to a wall outlet. The indicator light comes on, but will not blink. It just stays on light it would if it were charged. What if anything I am doing wrong. It is only a couple of years old and I have not used it alot. It charged the first time, but will not recharge. It works fine when it is just plugged into the wall outlet, but I want it to work on the battery. PLEASE HELP ME.............Jane

If your portable DVD player work with the AC power adapter in the wall outlet.100% the litium battery doesn't take any more holding charges. The litium battery should last u about 2 years with minium usages 2-3 hours a day.But that the DVD player and the litium battery must keep in very well conditon and wheather wise. Not in the heat or cold and the humitnity well shorten the lituim battey life very quickly and also could damages the portable DVD player too dosen't matter how much u used it.Tries webites like Amazon.com,Partstore.com,Ebay.com to buy a new litium battery or a compatible one.

Durabrand DUR-7 dvd player

the 12 volt car adapter only puts 9v to the dvd player. It is poorly marked. It really only runs on 9v. If you plug 12v into it it will smoke... thats what mine did.

The battery will not charge. The player was bought 10 mnths ago

Test the voltage at the end of the power supply cord. perhaps the cord is broken or the power supply is dead. The output voltage should be listed on the adapter or by the DC input jack on the unit.

Durabrand portable dvd player

Try a standard multi voltage charger. These come with a selection of connectors each one of a specific size and color coded. so you pick the connector to fit the input jack then set the charger to the appropriate color to give the correct voltage.
