GV47L FHDTV suddenly, when I was washing tv, the image and sound when off but the tv continue on. I try to change channels or to turn it off and did not work. The only way to turn it off was by unplug it. I plug it back and the yellow light came back to the VIZIO logo. Every time I turn it up the Vizio logo turns white and all the panel features turns yellow and it wonn't go off, and there is no image or sound. What can I do to fix it? Please let me know. Thank you.

This TV has 2 main circuit boards (2 LCD backlight controlers): the Power Supply board may have fried the video board on it's way out ...
You can either arange to have the TV replaced under warenty if not have it serviced. In any case best of luck with Vizio support line.

Everyone bought this TV because it was so cheap... now we find out why: Vizio cuts corners on everything from engineering to support!! All brands are not created equal. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

I had this exact problem on my Vizio 47" HDTV. I removed the speakers and all the screws on the back cover. Took the cover off and located the fuses on the largest circuit board. The are in the upper right hand corner of the board. There are 3 of them in a row labeled LF 1.5, LF 3.0 and LF 3.0. The are white in color with copper ends. I took a volt meter and measured continuity across all fuses individually and found the LF 1.5 to be blown. The guy at the electronics store sold me a barrel 1.5A fuse and told me to soldier it across the top of the blown fuse. It took an extra set of hands but the TV works perfectly.

you need to check first the power supply board whether the output supply 12-24vdc for the inverter board is stable and not flactuating..you can measure the output voltage with a multitester..you get a voltage output of 12-24 with the inverter board is connected or loaded to the system.be carefull of the high voltage at the inverter board..once the output is stable replace the inverter board or you can measure the output of the inverter be very carefull..the output range upto 500vac.be carefull..if the high voltage is stable replace the lamps...tnx and good luck..

Fixed my 47" GV47L for $7.18... Did the F3 Fuse bypass solution, and it worked like a champ!!! No problems since! The part that took the longest was the drive to Radio Shack!!!
