My memory card shows 132 pictures are loaded, but when I put the card in the photoframe, it keeps showing only 4 pictures. I have unplugged and replugged the photframe - but still just the same 4 pictures...

It is possible that they are in a format the picture frame doesnt support. Browse the card with your PC, find the pictures the frame will display and make sure all the other pictures are the same format (ie. jpg, gif, bmp etc).

Westinghouse DPF-01411 Digital Photo Frame

Things I have learned after messing with 3 different Westinghouse DPFs (1 -14" & 2 - 10").

1. Just tap the buttons. Exit first and then Menu or one of the other functions. Holding them down too long seems to nullify the functions. Only the Power button needs to be held down for a second or two to turn the device on or off.

2. Use a USB to mini-USB cable to access the internal memory. Expect flakiness when you plug in the cable. Sometimes it will warn the USB 2 device is plugged into USB1 port. Ignore this and just look for a string of removable drive letters to show up in My Computer window. The one named FLASH Drive is the internal memory.

3. I reformat the internal memory (FAT32 seems to work fine) and this gets rid of the troublesome canned pictures that may be causing your lock ups.

4. I have had good succcess the xD memory cards from 16MB to 1GB.

5. I have not seen any prblems with edited photos or long file names - just be sure they are named with .jpg extension and not .jpeg. - go figure?

Hope this helps...

Can't transfer photos from computer to digital frame

Copying pictures from EasyShare software:

1. Install EasyShare software (free download at www.kodak.com/go/sw)

2. Connect the USB cable.

3. On your computer, open EasyShare software. Select the pictures in My Collection and drag them into the Picture tray.

4. In the menu bar, select File and then Copy to the Kodak Drive letter.

The picture frame appears as removable drives—one drive for each connected picture source in the frame, in this order: internal memory, memory cards, and USB devices.

5. Select the frame source to which you are copying.

6. Select Best for Digital Picture Frame to reduce the resolution of the pictures you are copying. Full resolution is unnecessary and quickly fills up the frame's memory.

7. Click Copy. Pictures are copied to your frame.

8. Unplug the USB cable and on the frame check the pictures that were just copied.

I have a compact flash card in my digital camera and I am not sure how to load specific photos onto the DBF-0802. I do not want to damage the card before I start. Abd also, how do I load images that I...

The digital frame only has 8mb of Internal memory, And if you’re using a high-resolution camera that means you’re only going to get a few pictures loaded into the internal memory. You would be a lot better off playing your pictures directly from the CompactFlash card. Once you place a flash card into the frame it automatically should go into a slide presentation mode and then you should do is hit play.As far as loading it from your computer you need to get a mini USB cord and connect that to the computer and the frame. Once the computer recognizes the frame you can do the transfer.
