Where 's the fuse for my kb 100/200 watt amplifier

Sounds like you blew a fuse. You should locate the fuse and replace it. It might just be the fuse, but fuses usually when something's very wrong.
Try replacing the fuse.You might be lucky.

If you failed to turn off the amp before changing speaker cables you have fried something. Since the plug shorts when unplugging, if the amplifier were on, the amp would sense the short and will often fry the amplifier or the speaker. You don't mention what the amplifier was. If the speaker were daisy chained to other equipment a ground loop probably formed and blew out the woofer. The horn often has Peavey's "SoundGard" circuit so it probably survived. NEVER change speaker cables while amp is on. ALWAYS secure the 1/4 inch type cables through the handle of cabinets so they can'tbe inadvertenly pulled out and burn up equipment. Your amplifier driving one of these should be rated at no more than 200 watts RMS. These "400 watt Prrogram" ratings are for the birds... fake advertising. Put 400 watts into this RMS and it blows out.

Turn off the amplifier and unplug it from the wall.

Locate the fuse, which is usually found at the back of the amp. The fuse will look like a small black wheel sticking out of the amp with a number and the letter V next to it. For example, 9V.

Gently turn the fuse counter-clockwise to remove it from the amp.

Discard the old fuse.

Insert the new fuse into the empty fuse slot and turn it clockwise until it is firmly in place.

Plug in the amplifier; make sure the power switch is in the off position.

Turn the amplifier on to make sure the new fuse is working properly.

A fuse is probably blown...or an element is out. Can you return it where you bought it? Try opening it and checking all of it's components.

If the fuse is blown make sure the reason it blew is repaired before replacing the fuse. Start the amp up after replacing it with a 100 Watt light bulb in series with the hot side of the power into the unit. This will act as a current limiter to verify it is repaired and will not blow the fuse. When you open the unit the fuse will be obvious... Follow the hot side of the power cord, through the switch to the fuse.

Since the fuse is internal it should be marked on the circuit board where the fuse holder is. If it is blown and it is the original fuse it should be marked on the fuse. The way you troubleshoot this is to put a 150 watt lamp in series with the input power cord. The lamp acts as a resetable fuse and will limit the current while you look for the bad component. Start with the capacitors and rectifiers connected to the power transformer.

Hello endaya try www.digikey.com if you are using a 2amp buss fuse, its available, 117V is applicable to 220V, just follow the amp rating.

Continued replacement of fuses without fixing the reason for them blowing MAY be doing additional damage to components in the unit.

It needs to go to a repair shop. It is likely there is damage in the power supply section or that of the power amplifier section.

If you can see where the power wiring comes into the amp there has to be a fuse in there somewhere as the fuse is designed to cutoff all power when overloaded
