Saniflo 013/003/005 Sanibest Toilet with Grinder Series Pump in White Round Questions & Answers
I cannot get the top w/ gasket back on a sanibest
Make sure the gasket and it's grooved channel are clean also the inside lid lip where the gasket sits on should also be cleaned. Once all parts are cleaned properly install gasket to inside lid lip make sure it seats to the very bottom of the gasket. If it tends to fall off when installing apply a tick coat of petroleum jelly( Vaseline) to help hold it in place while installing. Hope this helps it did it for me

The toilet is filling up
The most likely causes based upon the little information you have provided are that either the toilet is partially blocked or the air vent in the SaniFlo unit is clogged up.
Try unblocking the toilet first, and if that doesn't work you must remove and clean the air vent (on most models it's below the carbon filter).

My saniflo xr is bolcked i need to remove the top to clean it
Easy - All you need is a "star" driver and a flat blade screwdriver to flip the plastic retaining clips up. You should wear rubber gloves to protect your hands from "nasty stuff" getting into cuts etc. When you get in there it will probably be a bit gunked up. I have previously put the mains cabling into a plastic food bag and taped it up, filled the saniflo up with a warm bleach / water mix and left it for a while.
Give it a swish around and them empty it into a drain. I also have used a hosepipe in the past to really clean it out. Pay attention to the inlet pipes and the area under the float switch / motor.
I would strongly suggest cleaning the actual feed pipes into the saniflo as these get furred up as well.
Good luck!

My basement toilet pump runs constantly I have
Yes! If the system you are talking about has a tank behind the toilet, that tank only pumps out for that bathroom group. It pumps out with a 2" line into the existing gravity system. Your other batrooms are on that gravity system so you would be fine to use them. The only way there would be a problem is if the main sewer line out of the house is backed up. But you would be having problems if that were so (possibly the washing machine connection in the basement would be overflowing. Sound like the pump float in the small tank behind the toilet is hung up on somthing not allowing it to shut off. No need to get a plumber for that. Just remove the top of the small box and see why the float off of the pump is not shutting off. If has been installed for awhile (a few years) possibly the float contact could be gone and in that case a plumber would be the best bet to get a part needed. But save some $ and see if it is hung up on somthing (dried toilet paper) and clean it off and see if the pump stops when plugged in. If so you just fixed it yourself. If not then call the plumber. I'm a licensed plumber so I have a bit of background here.

SMELLS WHEN I FLUSH
this brand of toilet needs to be vented to the outside. If you left the pipe open or the seals are not intact it will emit a smell when flushed.

My saniflow dosnt allways come on when you flush
That can be a problem with the pressure chamber, the membrane might be warped or the micro switch may be defective. Open the lid and remove the motor and presure chamber. Inspect the unit for damages or any broken pieces. Check that the membrane is not warped. This can be tested manually by placing the motor on a work bench and putting pressure on the membrane to manually start the pump on and off. If parts are needed you can buy them through Saniflo directly. Their website is

Pump will not stop pumping
I had the same issue before. Pump not shutting off. I spoke to tech support and adviced that there is a float switch (pressure chamber) inside the pump casing which water pressure activates the pump on and off. After dissassembling the unit i found that the black rubber piece at the bottom of the float switch was warped/deteriorated. After replacing it, it started working fine. It's been 3 years now and have no problems at all.
