"If
your lock is opening on every turn of the knob or lever, except upon
entering a code, this may be a ZERO CODE. Before attempting to remove
the lock from the door, refer to the troubleshooting procedures outlined
at bottom of this document for a zero code symptom/solution
Solution: Follow the procedure for changing a combination except omit step 3 (do not enter
the existing combination)."
I excerpted the above from the full instructions on how to change the code. If you don't have them, got to this link:

When
you do get the download open, you will have the stepwise procedure and
illustrations necessary-but don't forget to omit Step 3, if you believe

Go to the right-most column on the manual grid page, labelled "TIPS", and there you will find the files with the programming instructions.
As you will see, there is a reference in those instructions for the need for a DF-59 key. A Df-59 key can be purchased at this site:
http://absupply.net/kaba-access-control-lock-1000-series-key-df59.aspx
Also, there is a need for a spanner wrench. The spanner wrench (SMPBC201278 Simplex:SpannerWrench $9.00) referred to can be purchased from this site:

Need to change the combination
Hi Don,
Got these instructions from: >>>> http://www.indra.com/archives/alt-locksmithing/hobbit.html >>>>
"Once you know the current combination, you might want to change it.
Instructions for doing this undoubtedly come with the lock; but it's real
easy. There is a screw in the top with a hex hole; remove this from the lock
body. Dial the proper combination, but don't move the handle. Press straight
down through the hole with a small screwdriver, until you feel something go
"thunk" downward. The lock is now in change mode. Reset the tumblers
[leftward twist], enter your new combination, twist the handle as though
opening the lock, and your change is now in effect. Re-insert the screw.
This does the following: The thing you hit with the screwdriver pushes the
tumblers down onto the locking bar [which is why the proper combination must
be entered], and disengages them from their idler gears. Button presses turn
the *idler* *gears* around, and then the opening action shoves the tumblers
back up to mesh with these gears in their new positions. A subsequent reset
mixes the tumblers up again to follow the new combination. This description
is admittedly somewhat inadequate; the right thing to do is take one of the
locks apart and see for one's self what exactly happens inside."
Hope this helps. If it does. I'd appreciate a 4 thumbs up. Thanks,
Handie Andie

You'll need Adobe Reader installed, as these are PDF files. The manuals show installation and reprogramming instructions.
You can also research other models of locks from this page.
Good luck!
