try not to open the pc suite instead plub in direct to your pc then from the my computer icon open up the camera or mass storage icon then from there copy paste into a new folder on pc ( now your files should be safe) from there you can either use the pc suite software to convert files to DVD or use NERO 9,or Cyberlink power dvd,or total video converter, unfortunatley all are pay software but do offer trials
however if you have FAST UNLIMITED broadband connection then you can do it for free by going to

and select MPeg 2

theres a possibility that the video file is too big. or the format of the video is not recognized by their system.

things you can try:
* try converting the video format to a Mp4, or other video format..
* try to compress the file before attaching it in the email

Question post shows its Panasonic HDD camcorder SDR-H40
If camcorder shows brief power up and shuts off immediately that shows problem in power supply section in main board. Possible cause of problem could be HDD or its drive circuit.
It sounds hardware problem and need visual check of qualified Panasonic camera technician. Please call nearest Panasonic service facility and have an estimate for its repair.

You are not able to load a camera built-in hard drive onto a PC, it would not have windows on camera so a PC would not read the data, however if the mem card is plugged into the slot like on most new PCs over last 3 years called SD/Mini the card certainly could still be read on the PC.
