does the radio shows any sign of light/power? if answer is no, then it means this is a power related problem.
One or two components on the power board of the radio maybe defective and it could be a fuse. Or the car is not bringing power into the radio.
One of the two has to be the cause of the problem if it happens that the unit doesn't have any sign of power.
Let me have an answer to the question asked above.

Your DVD's capacitors in the power supply are the problem. Replace all the capacitors. Also the wire could be loose that connects the screen to the DVD player board, these are a common problem on a lot of DVD players
