Seems that your initial installation of Norton 360 has become corrupt. The easiest way to resolve this issue is to properly remove and then install the latest version of Norton 360.
1. Click on the following link to download the Norton Removal Tool:

2. After you run the tool, please restart your computer. Log into Windows again and run the removal tool again. Restart your computer after it is finished running the second time as well.
3. Click on the link below and then choose the "Download" button under "Norton 360" to download the latest installer.

4. When the installation is complete, launch Norton 360, mouse-over the "PC Security" bubble and choose "Check for Updates". After the updates have been installed, restart your computer and then check for updates again.
5. Mouse-over the "PC Security" bubble and choose "Run Scan" and then complete a "Comprehensive System Scan" to check for threats.

We have Norton 360 Premier installed on two PC's.
All you need to do is activate the Norton 360 once again, so that the program will get updated with the actual license you have purchased.
1. open the Norton Program
2. Click on Help and support
3. click on activate Norton
4. Follow the screen and enter the product key when it prompts you to enter it. and click on next.

If all else fails, then do a Reformat. You will loose everything, so do a Back-up.

since you have the product key nothing to worry. after removing the software the system will ask you to reboot the computer. after rebooting the computer, go to this URL and download the Norton 360 and install:- http://www.symantec.com/redirects/norton/norton_com/n360/

Seems there is an issue with the software instance installed on your computer. You may have to uninstall the version completely and reinstall and reactivate the product. To do this, try the following steps:
- Click Here to download the Norton Removal Tool. Download the file from the website and save it on your desktop. Now run the file (Right-click and Run as Administrator for Vista and Win7 users). After cleanup, the tool would ask you to reboot your machine. This removes the Norton product completely from your computer.
- Now goto http://www.symantec.com/norton/index.jsp and download the trial version of your product and install it on the computer. You can also use the disk for installation, if you have one.
- On installation, the product would give you the activation screen to register the product. Fill in your activation details appropriately to activate the license.

Before you could reinstall the product, you need to ensure that the last instance of the product has been removed completely else it may create issues with the new installation. To do this, follow the steps below:

How to reinstall my product
I usually disconnect from the internet first when uninstalling virus protection.
Go to the control panel located in your start button.
chose add/remove programs.
After the menu populates, find Norton.
uninstall it.
Or just uninstall it the way u know how.
Then you are free to put a fresh install.
Put in your cd and follow instructions.
If it fails to auto start.
You may need to explore the cd drive and find the setup.exe
Double click it and you are on the way.
Need to reload norton how do i do it not good with
The Norton should have come with a install disk. Assuming that you have the disk, here are the steps:
First, Uninstall your current antivirus software. (It is recommended to unplug your internet connection until you have reinstalled the Antivirus software)
To uninstall:
go to start menu > click "computer" or "my computer" (depends on which windows system you have) > click "add or remove programs" or "uninstall or change a program" > on the list, select Norton antivirus and click unstall > follow the steps that show up on the screen
To install: put the install disk in the drive. The disk should start up automatically. IF IT DOES NOT: go to "computer" or "my computer" and right click on your disk drive and select autoplay (or something similar... once again, the exact label will depend on your operating system) The disk should start a installation wizard that will walk you through the rest of the process....
