Brother DCP-9045CDN Laser Printer Questions & Answers
Where are the green tabs on the drum unit that I'm suppose to slide
When looking at the drum and cartridge combined. The embossed Brother Logo should be up the correct way. Above this logo on the Drum Unit itself near the top is the slider. Slide this all the way across and back. Making sure that the arrows on the slider meets up with the arrow on the Drum Unit. This process is cleaning the Corona Wire. If you leave the slider anywhere else but where the arrows meet you will end up with a solid line running vertically from top to bottom of the page where this slider sits.

DCP 9045CDN COLOR PRINTER
It was
The drum, is the part of the toner system that your paper runs up against and is magnetically charged. Toner is then put on the papre (for lack of a better term) and the fuser bonds the toner to the paper with heat. The drum unit in your machine is generally good for about 17000 copies, unless this the original drum, then it is good for about 5000-7000. The part number for a replacement on your machine is DR110CL and should run you about $129.00 for a Brother branded drum or about $100.00 for non-branded or remanufactured. This is not something I would purchase a non-branded or remanufactured unit for as it can produce quality less than perfect and if there is damage to a drum, it could damage your machine, which would more than likely not be covered under your warranty. I hope this helps and please do not hesitate to ask additional questions.
