Da30u

The GR-D30U does not take a SIM card. However it will take MMC and SD memory cards. MMC cards are all but extinct so go for an SD card. Make sure you get an SD card, 2GB or smaller, and not a higher-capacity SDHC card.

SCREEN SAYS CONDENSATION, OPERATION CLOSED

This is usually caused by a failed component in the moisture detection circuitry within the camera. This will require disassembling the camera to remove the tape mechanism and then replacing the defective component, reassembly and calibration if necessary. This can be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it's not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired qualified service technician.

Gr-d30e eject cassette without power?

Hi, well actually NO, if the power has failed there is NO Way to get the tape out without diss-assembly.
One must remove the side covers and gain access to the eject motor/gear, then we can work the gear around to drive the tray out. However to even do this procedure one MUST have a Service Manual, to know the order in which to take it apart.
Service manual below. Use the troubleshooting steps in there to isolate your issue.

My JVC GR-DA30U didn't come with a usb connector.

you need an iLink cable. Also known as a mini-i400 or Firewire Mini. If you have standard 6-pin Firewire (IEEE1394) on your PC, you can get a converter cable which is i400 one end, 1394 the other.

I have on the screen following message:

Here's what someone mentioned to do on a web blog:
Question: does you camera have a removable backup battery (usually a
lithium coin cell such as 2016) to hold user settings, such as time
and time zone?

Sometimes taking both batteries out will reset such a problem.
Disconnect the camcorder from any AC supply, remove the regular
battery, then remove the coin cell.

Wait a while before restoring the coin cell. Then replace the
regular battery and try again.

Of course, all user settings will be lost, but that shouldn't be too
hard to redo.

I hope that works, otherwise it sounds like it's new camera - or
repair - time.

Couldn't find anything else on this problem, but hope it helps.

HI ... NO POWER AND

The loading tray of the cassette is out of alignment or damaged or the drive is faulty. This section needs a highly technical support and so you will need to check from the loading drive circuit , the servo section and the power section.
I suggest you must take help from JVC service for estimation before it must be decided if this is worth . Sometimes a blown fuse in this section can stop the loading section from working.

How to fix "Condenzation. Operation paused"

The camera will say that when it detects that the moisture level is too high. Make sure that the camera is completely dry. If it is warm and dry with a clean tape installed and still gives the error, then the condensation sensor may be bad. It can be replaced, but you should check with JVC about warrantee.
