LG LDF9810ST Built-in Dishwasher - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
LG dishwasher leaking out the bottom of the door.
My dishwasher was doing the same thing, but it was because of a clogged vent. The minerals in the water built up to a point that it was totally blocked and since it couldnt vent, the water ran down the inside of the door and leaked out the bottom. I just popped the vent cover off of the inside of the door and cleaned it out and it stopped leaking.

I would first check on your warranty before you open the unit up and void the warranty, then if you decide to open it anyway, find the tech diagnostic sheet located with-in the unit and run the diagnostics on the unit if this shows no codes then, power it down at the circuit breaker for 10 minutes and then re-power it up and check to see if this cleared the "glitch", then remove and reinstall any and all connectors and connections possible as moist air can disrupt signals from the control panel throughout the unit,if this doesn't help solve the problem, then you will need to replace the interface users control panel assy.

Hey Glenn. Did you ever figure it out? I am about to replace my mother's hose since it cracked and I am looking at the service manual -but am I little stumped. I don't have the dishwasher in front of me with the part so I can't explore the options.
Also, where did you buy your part? Looks like Repair Clinic is one of the few places to have it in stock. $36.. ouch!!!
Tried to replace it with a universal model from Home Depot and it doesn't fit. Seems the LG uses a smaller outlet on the pump than others AND they have engineered a one way valve in the hose instead of the pump..
I have the same model and am just waiting for the fun to begin on mine too.
I will guarantee you that I will NEVER purchase another LG appliance again. Between non standard parts and crappy reliability, it's been a very poor customer experience to date.

I have a LG 4821st
This code is for a "leak" that the system's computer is detecting. Let me guess...Does the system make a groaning noise like it's not getting enough water? Here's what you should do...First, pull the lower dish rack out and thoroughly clean the filter. If you're easily able to remove the filter, do so and continue to clean. Also look for any debris under the filter assembly. A final step to completely make sure all of the water lines are clear of debris, you'll need to remove power, pull the washer out of the cabinet, and then (carefully) tip it on its right side. Next, remove the two plastic assemblies that are on the left side and remove them from the dishwasher you will need a vice grips to remove the hose clamps from behind them, you will also need to remove the round circular water intake plastic disk that is on the inside of your dishwasher on the left hand side right in the middle of the left wall and clean them. Once the water can run freely through these plastic parts you will get a good water flow and you should be fine. It's a bit of a task, but not too difficult. To minimize this from happening in the not-too-distant future, you may want to ensure that you're not putting too many dishes in that contain heavy, solid food debris. Also, I recommend using the Finish brand tablets instead of heavy liquid detergent. It not only is more cost-effective, it also does a wonderful job and won't build up in the water lines of your nice dishwasher.
I hope this helps and please feel free to ask me if you need any further assistance!
Take care and have a WONDERFUL holiday season!
-Jason

There is a 'Cr' message on the display panel, and
Mine is doing the same thing right now. It started beeping again this morning after I wiped off the touch pad. I shut the power off to it at the box and when I turned it back on to try to make it work it just showed the Cr on the display.

OK, so if the dishes are not getting cleaned,
Is the water around 130 F, if so make sure you run the water at your sink till the line fills with hot water before starting the machine. Make sure your getting enough water and that the spray arms are turning and clean.

I have an LG Dishwasher model LDF9810ST. Error
Are you draining the unit in the basement or under the kitchen sink?
If you are draining the unit to the floor you will need a new drain hose with a syphon breaker. This drain hose is factory installed on all new LG dishwashers.
The part # is AEM69493801
This is a known issue and may be covered under your factory warranty.
Depending on where you live a factory service tech may be in your area.
Could you explain the second problem further...Hard time shutting down?
Shoot me a E-mail @

I am a LG factory service technician not a sub contractor.

Not drying dishes, help
The LG LDFx810 dishwasher energy saving series uses a condensing system mounted in the door and does not turn on the heating element during the drying cycle. Rather it heats the final rinse water and then runs the condensing fan system to remove the moist air. Energy saving dishwashers will never dry as completely as the energy hogs of 10 years ago - especially the plastic items.
Also, confirm that the rinse aid is full. This will help with drying considerably.

Will not come on.
Since the LG LDFxxxx family, including the 9810 all have a power button (and not just a door handle interlock switch that turns the unit on when you close the door, you have an internal problem that will not have a quick fix.
This dishwasher had a 12 month parts and labor and a 24 month parts-only warranty. If you have proof of purchase, I recommend you contact the LG support number in the owner's manual.
Good Luck!

Dishwasher problem
The LG dishwasher family has a cool feature that alternates the full wash/spray power between the upper spray arms and the lower arm.
It is called Vario - with a motor that drives a check valve to route the water.
So, If you just open the dishwasher while it is running and look to see if all the spay arms are spinning, you will be disappointed.
Now, if you are having problems with dishes not getting cleaned, we need to take the next step. Post back what you find.
Good Luck!
