Mountain Buggy Urban Single Stroller Questions & Answers
I havde lost the buttom
Hi,
If you are within the UK, call 01234 344230 to order parts. This is the Uk distributor.
Hope this helps.
I am trying to replace
tyres are a pain some times, but they can be a snap if you have a good tool to unhoop it the wheel. the best tool that i have found is a butter knife that has a few wraps of electrical tape (black tape) and take that and place it inbetween the tyre and the rim prying out ward get the tyre to 'jump' the rim and with your thumb keep it off the outer part of the rim. now firmly move the knife tape side in the wheeltug it around the wheel and keep the rubber out of the rim till you get the rubber off the rim. now remove the tube form the inside, and replace the new tube (or patch the old one) back inside the rim. make sure the stem is neatly in the hole and not pressed to one side.
Now with the same motion pry the tyer back onto the rum and using your thumb keep the tyre pressed on to the rum and go all the way around now just pump the tyre back up and you should be good ro go.
Need to unlock front wheel
Hi,
Are you sure this is the Mountain Buggy
Urban that you have? Only the Urban version has the ability to unlock the front wheel. There is another version called the Terain that has
fixed wheels only.
The instruction booklet you will have have covers 4 different variations of this buggy and the section on wheel unlucking may not apply to your model.
Mountain Buggy Urban (single, double and triple seater versions)
This pusher features a swivelling front wheel which is able to be fixed when walking in a straight direction. A knob on the mounting above the front wheel is turned inwards and the wheel rotated until it locks into place. To unlock the wheel, the knob is turned outwards.
Mountain Buggy Terrain
All three wheels are fixed and the Mountain Terrain needs to be tilted to change direction. The fixed wheels are designed to manage uneven terrain and for walking and running in a straight direction.
The other possibility is that there should be a knob attaching to the screw you describe that is missing from the mechanism. If this knob is not there as shown below in the photograph then it is either missing or your model is the terrain fixed wheel version. There is no other method to lock/unlock the wheel.
Hope this helps. Please do take a moment to rate my answer. Thanks.
See photo for location of unlocking knob (Urban Model only)
Have you managed to fit the carrycot already
Hi,
If this is the same as the UK model then you should make sure that you remove the hood of the pram (not the carrycot hood) as this makes life so much easier. You could contact
www.mountainbuggy.com so that they can send you a manual.
When you attach the carrycot, there should be a clip either side of this to attach to the chassis, these clips snap shut when aligned correctly with the chassis.
I hope this helps.
Urban Jungle: push very heavy, squeaks
Alex,
You may try removing the wheels, cleaning all dirt and debris from the axel and the wheel, coating both the axel and inside of the wheel with silicone spray. If the axel is badly pitted from the dirt rubbing against it, you can use some emery cloth to smooth it back out before putting the wheel back on.
