Sounds like a bad Tcon board, most video but not all are caused by this board if the set has one, one other thing to check is the cables going to and from the Tcon board but be careful the LVDS cable and flat cables that go to the panel are very fragile

Bulb overheated and probably blew, they are made of mercury most times so don't touch them they should be in a housing, that could be it. If most times dust gets in there and the fan gets weighted down with dust if its up against the wall no air flow, so there ya go, try that. good luck

The main system memory IC is damaged. Even though this IC is a very small one, and cost more, replacing it is a skilled work, because, after replacement, you must have to enter its service mode options to adjust some data values there. Only an experienced service person can do this.

You need to do more indepth troubleshooting. Are you getting the any DC voltage in the primary AC side on the big cap(the one with 250~450dc rating).

You also should check Z and Y sustain boards.
You have to at least get the DC standby voltage (3.3vdc or5vdc) for the processor the minute the TV is plugged in.

The loud pop was generated by the explosion of one of the capacitors from the power source. Open the back of the tv and replace all capacitors from the power source - if one has failed so badly  then the others can't be far behind. After that check what other components the failed capacitor might have damaged: rectifiers, coils and the IC's from the Y and Z -sus board.
Basic knowledge of electronics is required, if you don't have it then call a certified repairman.

There will be a fault in either the Y or Z sustain boards, these are responsible for driving the screen 9hence sound but no picture). The popping sound willhave either been a fuse blowing on the board or another possibility is one of the drive ICs on the buffer board has blown. If so it's best to replace the board.

I just fixed this very same problem. It is the capacitors that are the problem. I think that if you have some minimal skills with
soldering, you can fix this yourself. You just need to take out the system board, then the power supply parts are on the top right.
The bad capacitor(s) will be bulging at the top. The ones that go bad are 1000 microfarad 10 Volt, however you can replace them with
the higher 16 volt. I got the capacitors from maplins, 24p each. You just need to de-solder out the bad ones and then put the new
ones in and solder. Remember that the negative end goes on the side with the bold black part of the circle on the system board.
solder the 2 new parts in then just cut off the ends off the capacitors.
