How do I turn off the camera option?

As far as i know "face time" is used on apple products. I need more info but if you can go to the device manager you disable the camera temporarily. send more information about the model number and actual program you are using with the camera. For example if you are video chatting you can just log off.

My Sony VAIO Notebook VPCX11S1E wont boot up anymore. when i try it jyst goes to blue screen. How can i get iSony VAIO Notebook VPCX11S1E it to load up and start up normally.?

It seems that your machine is suffering a fatal error on startup. If the blue screen flashes up with some non-sensical writing on it then that is the error I speak of. This condition can be caused by a faulty piece of hardware, most commonly the hard disk drive in my experience. BUT it can also be just a faulty file in the Operating System on your machine and may not be a hardware problem at all. Either way, the first ting I would do in your position is to reinstall your Operating System. You are using Windows 7 I see. Windows 7 is a good OS. In order to try to recover your computer you will need an original Windows 7 DVD disk. Insert the disk into the DVD drive and then follow the instructions at this like here... http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/start-the-windows-7-recovery-environment/

Can somebody help me the sony vaio one time calculate that is bios password thanks u.

I don't really understand the question but just in case. Did you forget your BIOS password? Model of the PC. If it is kind of new then removing the CMOS battery and let it out for 30 seconds will clear the password. In some laptops it will be visible if you open some of the compartments in the back of the laptop. A desktop will have a jumper that needs to be move (it sits in 2 of the 3 pins) to the other side and wait for 20 seconds. Send as much information as you can possible obtain by powering up ther PC.

VGP-PRS20 port replicator stopped working

I haven't use replicators much but the one on My dell is still working. I will suggest to remove the laptop(you probably did already) and then insert a USB and see if Windows says anything about it, do the same with the other components. If nothing works then I think the unit is bad or the connector on the back of the laptop is bad. Of course if you had a similar replicator you can test your laptop and see if its port is bad.

Why does acer aspire 5742z 4824 lose internet connection every 20 seconds

HI There, There are a number of reasons why this could be happening. Unfortunately I do not know whether you are using a wired connection or wifi. I am guessing in these modern days that you are using wifi but I will post a few things that might help anyway. Try These: 1. If you are using a wire to connect your router (modem) to your computer, change it. Try a different wire (also called a patch cable) and see if that fixes it. 2. Always remain conscious of the fact that you may have a faulty router. Try switching off your router for 30 seconds and then switching it back on again. Wait for it to initialize and see if that helps. 3. Your computer's NIC (Network Interface Card) may have a dmaged or corrupt "driver". Drivers allow the components in your computer to communicate properly. A damaged driver will mean bad or no communication. So here is what to do to check your driver. a: right click on "computer" or "My Computer" in the start menu. b: From the menu that appears, choose MANAGE c: From the subsequent box that appears choose "Device Manager" in the left side panel. d: A list of all the devices attached to your computer will show in the large window. Do any of them show a tiny exclamation mark with a yellow background? Whether they do or not, search for the entry in the list that says "Network Adapters" - Click the little triangle beside it. e: Right click on the first entry and from the menu that appears, choose Uninstall (left click). Wait for the computer to do a little bit of processing. The list may refresh a number of times and the item you just uninstalled may disappear from the list. This is normal and good. f: Do the same procedure for the next item in the list under the heading "Network Adapters" until all of the Network Adapters have been UNINSTALLED. g: Restart your computer, with the internet cable connected (If you are using an internet cable). If you are using wifi, ensure it is enabled before restart. - h: On re starting, your computer will find the items you just uninstalled and will automatically RE-INSTALL them. By doing this, your computer might fix the problem by loading a good driver (in case the old driver was bad). i: Try your internet after around ten minutes. see if the problem is fixed. NEXT SOLUTION: 4. Are there other Routers nearby? Do you live in a block of flats or a busy thoroughfare where there are lots of internet connections showing on your wifi list? If so, then it is possible that another router nearby has the same "Channel" as your router and your WiFi card is getting confused as to which router to connect to. - You need to change your Router's WiFi channel. To do this: Check out these Web pages: a: http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/how-to/network-wifi/3325316/how-change-wi-fi-channel/ OR b: http://www.metageek.net/forums/showthread.php?6379-How-To-Change-the-Channel-of-Your-Wireless-Network NEXT SOLUTION: 5. You may need to download another driver for your Network Card on your laptop. a: Download this driver and install it (double click on it) http://www.getdriver.com/download/3050/broadcom-lan-driver-14-0-1-0-10-8-mb-acer-aspire-5742z-driver-windows-7-x86/#.U5Aq4rHIytM b: Also Download this driver and install it... http://www.getdriver.com/download/3071/atheros-wireless-lan-driver-9-0-0-202-9-2-mb-acer-aspire-5742z-driver-windows-7-x86/#.U5ArU7HIytM c: Finally, Download this driver and install it... http://www.getdriver.com/download/3071/atheros-wireless-lan-driver-9-0-0-202-9-2-mb-acer-aspire-5742z-driver-windows-7-x86/#.U5ArU7HIytM NOTE: Driver B and C above are both for your Wireless Card. One is for a WiFi card made by Atheros and the other is for a card made by Broadcom. Your Laptop does NOT have both cards in it, but I do not know which one it does have so download both. It is possible that on installing, one of the drivers may fail (as the WiFi card for that driver is not in your laptop). in that case, install the other one. "A" above is for your Network connection when using a cable (non-WiFi). This should be installed to ensure your cabled internet continues to run smoothly. I am afraid that Is all I have for now. As I always do, I advise you to always use extreme patience when dealing with computer problems. Sometimes your computer looks like it is doing nothing when it actually is processing. But don't grow a beard waiting like. Hope some of these help.

Can you boot from usb on a sony vaio pcg-9s1l

You may need to "Flash" (Update) the Bios. To do this, go online and download the latest Bios update for your machine. Unzip the downloaded file and place it on an empty Memory stick. Insert the memory stick and restart your machine. The Bios update should install. Wait for the process to finish and then see if you now have the option in Bios>Boot Options to Boot from USB.

Switch on, grey screen,nothing else.

You should try to hook up an external monitor. If you have video on the ext. monitor you have a display issue. If you have no video on the external monitor it's possible you have bad video card. Listen for beep codes or watch for lights flashing in sequence, those codes tell you what the issue is. Try re-seating the ram, every now and then re-seating the ram solves display issues.

The fan of my sony vaio model pcg 3c2l stops

Only do this if you feel competent in doing so.

Pulling apart laptops is not for the faint of heart.

If you really must do it there are some
good guides here.

An alternative is to get a can of compressed air used to clean computers. Put the nozzle on and spray it in every hole you can see without putting the nozzle itself inside the laptop.

Do this outside with glasses on.

You may also want to remove the hard drive and ROM drive.

Take a
peek here for more ideas of what is involved.

There are a few are tips for various things in there.

DON'T touch the CPU cooler unless you know what you are doing and have some thermal grease for CPUs to hand.

To make newer laptops last longer between cleaning a good 3 fan cooling pad is suggested.
never use a laptop on soft surfaces as the ventilation can act as a mini vacuum cleaner and encourage dirt build up.
Soft surfaces also block the vents causing fans to run more and burn out sooner.
Hope this gives you the information you need
