ASUS P5GZ-MX Motherboard Questions & Answers
Shutdown after 15 minutes
If it seems to boot and run normal for the first 10 to 15 minutes then powers off it is probably a thermal issue. If this is the case, most of the time you will have to wait 5 or 10 minutes before it will turn back on. ( Not always depending on the part, some cool very quickly.)
The first thing you should check is the fan on the cpu. If it is running normally make sure that the heat sink is seated securely. Also make sure any other fans are running correctly.
Another possibility for a heat problem is airflow in and around the computer case. Make sure that all the vents have a couple of inches of open space around them to draw air in and out or the case. If the computer is in a cabinet make sure that adequate cool air can get to it and that the heat can get out.
CAN YOU USE ANY BLANK DVD TO MAKE LOOPED VIDEOS BY JUST CHANGING THE SETTINGS?
Hi Leah
There are two options that might work for you. The commercial DVDs you buy that loop, have a setting enabled when they are created that causes the player to loop. A lot of the programs that you use to make dvds at home have the ability to enable this setting as well. It depends on what program you use so check the help files or do a search for Make Loop DVD With ( Your Software ). Some players also have a playback option called looping, continuous play, or even store demo mode that would allow you to run any DVD in a loop mode.

ASUS P5GZ-MX: Cmos Settings Wrong - Tryed New Cmos battery and setting time a date howto fix ?
It may just be that the new battery needs to be charged. I would leave it switched on for 24 hours to check. If this doesn't fix the problem, it could also be a failing BIOS chip or the charging circuit for the CMOS battery has failed. If the BIOS chip is not socketed or the cmos charging circuit has failed, you will need to replace the motherboard or find an electronics engineer to replace the failed components, this will probably be more expensive that a new board.
MSI N430GT MD2GD3 and Asus P5GZ-MX, is it compatible?
The only problem I can see is. the graphics card requires a PCI-E x16 slot and the motherboard has a PCI-E x4 slot. It should work, but not to the speed it is capable of reaching. The other thing that may be holding you back is the power supply. From looking at the graphics card spec I would expect to fit at least a 700w PSU To the tower. But without knowing the spec of your computer (CPU, Memory and Drives) and the exact symptoms, I can't be more specific.
Can asus p5gz-mx support 2gb

mainboard.
Unfortunately only 2 x
DIMM, max. 2GB, DDR2 533/400 MHz memory modules are supported.
Meaning that it is not possible for the 2gb kingston 800mhz RAM to run, according to the Specs.
Sorry to inform you of this fact!
