Continuous clicking from an igniter in the off position. I have to slightly turn the control knob towards the hi position to stop the clicking and for the light on the control knob to go off

sounds like it was turned a little past the stop point. Pull two knobs off and examine the back side that slides onto the shaft. Switch them and try again. If the problem is on the same burner, the shaft may be turned past its normal stop position. You can try turning it until it stops in the opposite direction and force it just a tiny bit more. That was how I fixed mine.

Hello,

Thans\ks for the call,

The common issue in these stove tops when the ignition system does not turn off is the spark control module itself not detecting the the ignition system sucessfuly ignited the gas. This prevents gas excaping without combustion. This module is located depening on how its set into the counter toward the back. There are two wires one negitive and one positive, Thus this goes into a module then diverted to each of the burners.

You did expess you would rather have someone work on your unit because of your knowldge doing this work yourself. I would highly suggest a service call from a appliance tech that is certified with this type of work. Working with GAS is dangerious and could cause injury, Fire and death if safty is not reconized.

I would not recommend anyone that is not licenced with your state. Check them otu first before you make that call.

From al the information your telling me the module would be your issue. Now if there was something left out of the information your telling me you might need more parts.

Once again it was my pleasure working with you today.

The igniters will not stop sparking on my dcs

Because this is happening on all burners, i would say you have a faulty ground to the ignition module.

To change the orfices you will need dis-assemble the range top and remove the burner venturri tubing to expose the gas orfices. The center burner(simmer) is only 500btus and the outer burner is 15,000. You will need to use a small wrench to remove the old orfice and install the new one. As far as the appliance regulator they are pretty standard. The regulator might have a cap that if you remove will have a little plug that changes the spring tension for Natural Gas to propane. And if it has this all you need to do is turn the plug over. This will change the gas pressure from 4 inches W.C. to 14 inches W.C. If the regulator does not have this removable cap then you will need to install a new appliance regulator that is flow rated for the total BTU rating for the range top(15,000 x 6 + 3,000) and rated at 14 inches W.C.(LP Gas). As far as the simmer burner orfices you might need to remove them and "peen" them down with a small hammer and re-drill them for LP gas at 500btus. This will require an extremely small drill(the size of a human hair) or you can try and buy six orfices that are rated 500 btus for LP gas on-line and install them. Then finally after they are installed you will need to adjust the air shutters for proper burner flame and ignition. And also adjust the burner pressure on the burner valve by using a very small flatblade screwdriver down the stem of the burner valve(knob attatches to it) then at the same time hold the stem with pliers to adjust the pressure.
