Hello,

I would advise you to be sure that your routers are MDI/MDIX Compatible, (i.e it can allow you to use either a straight-through or cross-over cable).

If not, then try using a cross-over cable when connecting the routers together.

Also, try making your router's LAN configuration to be DHCP and the one for your Wireless Access Point Static.

Then make sure that they are all in the same Subnet. This is also very important.

Try out these few troubleshooting steps first and keep me posted about the problem.

Hope it helps.
Goodluck

Cant connect to any internet page through linksys etherfast cable/dsl router

Check your windows network configuration. You may have to go through the wireless setup wizard by adding a connection. At least you know they recognize each other. There also may be a security code that is needed in the network setup in windows. right click on the network connection and look at properties. only change one thing at a time and document what changes you make.

SIGNAL PROBLEM

the radio has had an internal breakdown, possibly a transmitter or receiver failure. The only thing to do would be to replace or repair the unit. How old is it, as it may be under Motorola warranty if its less than a year. If it's not, you could contact Motorola support, and find out if they offer "flat rate" repair.....I know they do this for all of their 2 way radios and pagers, and the cost for repair is usually around 1/4 of new pricing. If you do get in touch with Motorola support, and have the unit's serial number handy, they will be able to tell you if its still under warranty. 1 888-605-2552 is the support number for Motorola canopy. They would be able to tell you if Flat rate repairs are available, and where to send the unit.

Factory Default Motorolla Canopy 900mhz. AP

all you need is a phone cord (that you dont want to use anymore) just ground the number 4 and 6 wire together and leave the rest alone. plug it in the canopy and then power it on. It should then be at the default ip. I think its 169.254.1.1 or 192.168.100.1.
