Samsung LN-S4695D LCD WON'T TURN ON BUT POWER LIGHT IS ON ?

I would recommend you get a professional diagnosis. There is high voltage present in the set that can harm you. Being that you never messed with a TV, you could possibly cause more damage to your set. These flat panel TV contain sensitive circuitry. What you are describing sound like a fault with either the power supply or main board.

Hello
You can buy its original remote control from the Authorised Service Center for Samsung at your town. All functions of the TV can't be controlled by any universal remote control. Some functions may even accessed. If you have the original remote control with you now, you can buy it from any electronic sparepart shops at your town. It will have a number, and should be noted when buying a new one. You can also buy it, either from "Ebay" or "Alibaba.com" by e-payment. Just give them the exact model number of your TV. They will have its number and will send to you by courier. OK.

Our TV screen is droken

There is no way to replace just the screen.Mainly because the separate price of the panel can be more expensive than the tv itself. You can try at service center but you will have to pay a lot because this is not covered by warranty.

I have a 46 inch

If you have a picture and it is all staticy and pixelated, then it probably is coming from the service your connected to these newer sets are much different today.

There's very little chance of an LCD TV having a "60 cycle hum". That problem was a hazard of CRT TVs and is rarely seen on LCD TVs and even when it is, it's mainly a problem with the RF feed and not the TV itself.

Try hooking up various inputs one at a time. For example try component input from a VHS tape player. Then try HDMI input for a HD player (Blu-Ray or HD-DVD). Then try a computer hooked up to the VGA input (set your video output on the computer for the native resoilution of your TV). Make sure you have the inputs selected correctly for each source.

The standard "refresh" rate for your TV is 60 Hz but that is a bit of a misnomer as LCD TVs don't used a raster scan for their display so their "refresh" is typically measured in miliseconds, in your case it is 8ms.

Your problem could be a power supply problem or if the lines are static, it could be an addressing problem in the ATSC decoder chip.

There are many other possiblilities but with more data on your symptoms, I wouldn't like to guess.

Hope this helps.

Samsung LCD 46" television model no. LNS4695D,

Are these vertical lines colored or do they look like static lines? Also are these lines present even on the no-signal screen? It sounds like an LCD controller problem but first I would like to make sure that its not the video precessing board. So please provide this info.

When trying to connect my 4695D to a new Sony Blu

The problem has been solved. A previous post to this site was having a similar problem hooking up a Playstation Blu Ray player to the same TV.

A solution was posted to that problem and I followed the same instructions.

It has to do with the set up porgram on the Blu Ray component. You need to select Settings then 108024Bit needs to be set to off.

I have a Samsung LCD Samsung LN-S4695D hooked to

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. From what you have described it seems the issue is with the power board or the main board we’ll need to check few things. When you open the unit up; take a look at the power board-the board where, the power cords/plugs goes into. You might see some filter capacitors a little bulged up in the top-If this is the case-this is your defective part(you can try to replace them-but some soldering equipment is needed). If not, then probably the main board has gone bad. This is the other board-where all he inputs are going into. All this is only recommended if you have electrical expertise and know how to solder/re-solder components.
Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

The TV won't turn on anymore. The blue light is on

Hi. this is a common issue with many lcd sets. the failure can be found within your set. The part in particular will be the PCB main. The is commonly called the Power Control Board. it basically regulates the current that it receives form the inverter board. There is also a IP that incorporates the cooling devices as well like, the fan and heat sinks but, this is not affected at all. this issue you are experiencing is totally isolated within the PCB and, you will have to replace this board in order to restore this set to optimal performance. i have placed a picture of the damaged part that will need to be replaced.

Please rate and god bless:)
