Nikon Coolpix L11 Digital Camera - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
The part behind the lcd screen is broken
I think you need to replace the screen module, from your description of the fault. The 'part behind the screen' IS the LCD module - the front part is for protection. As you can still take pictures and store image files, it is just the screen at fault.
No image data, Can't load pics
Hello,
here is a easier way to view your pictures.....
if your running Windows Xp or Vista great.
select your menu button on the backof the camers , then Shooting menu, then Set up, scroll down to Interface, then USB, select mass storage. press menu to exit.
turn your camera on after you connect the USB cable to your computer and camera.
a new hardware wizard should be active, Xp & vista provides the drivers and a one time deal. your camera turns into a removable hard drive or like a jump drive.
you should click on the camera icon and see the contents of the camera.
Dont forget if you have the photos on the camera's built in chip, you can only delete the photos on the camera with the delete button on the camera.
Or if you have a removable SD card you can delete the photos as viewed on your PC (like a removable hard drive or jump drive).
Nikon camera
hello
are you using a removable SD memory card?
check to see if your card is compatible with your camera.
the card maybe corrupt or may need formatting, try that after you back your pictures, movies up.
if the SD card was bought on auction site, may be a counterfeit. (the legit cards have serial numbers on them)
File Contains No Image!
Does the camera have internal memory? The folder name might not match the folder you or the camera are looking for. REmove mem card and see if the pics are still on the camera, if so, then try again without the card in. try and see the card in "mass media storage" mode on your PC. Reformat the card in the camera after you get the pics off to reset the folder name.
File not viewable
Hello!!
Firstly switch off the camera
press and hold the ok button and turn the camera on and off
for few times
whilst keeping this button depressed
Regards
Smilemaker.
Wont turn on
You may have a defunct camera battery. They all fail eventually. Try another one if you have access to one.

Battery Problem
ITS NOT THE BATTERIES -- check out the internet (google "nikon coolpix battery exhausted" and you'll see hundreds of people are experiencing this glitch. best fix i've found so far: remove batteries and memory card, then replace batteries and try again. Maybe firmware update works too, but this fix is not confirmed.
How to remove date imprint ?

here.
I lost the direction manual
You can download the manual in PDF format from the manufacturer's web site at http://support.nikontech.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/13948
You can order a printed manual at http://www.nikonmall.com/detail/NIK+IBCOOLPIXL10L11
Drivers for nikon coolpix camera L11
You don't need a driver. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as
Nikon Transfer or
Picasa.
I accidentally deleted a picture
You can often successfully recover deleted files from a PC, phone or camera memory card or USB Memory stick, it just depends on what's happened since the files were deleted. When you delete files the data itself isn't deleted, just the index entry that says where the data for those files is located. The space containing the deleted files is also now marked as free space so it is available to the system for any new files to be written there instead. If and when that happens, then it becomes too late to recover your deleted files so it is very, very important to not save any new files or data to the device concerned. If the deleted files are on a memory card or USB memory stick, just don't save any new files to it. One of the easiest ways to see if you can recover deleted files is to try some file recovery software. Recommended this data recovery as it saved my life many times.
