you just need to get a new cmos battery and replace it.

its a small coin shape battery on your motherboard.

First, turn off your computer, disconnect all cables.
Then, find the manual for this particular motherboard - locate in it where the "chassis intruder jumper" is. Then move the plastic jumper from pins 1 and 2 (left) to 2 and 3 (right). Keep them there for 10 seconds, then move the plastic piece back to pins 1 and 2. This should fix the problem.

make sure you installed the correct speed of ram, secondly if the ram speed is correct take out one sitck at a time, and try to boot, it's possible that one is bad from factory.

hi. somehow, you seemed to have a jumper missing next to the battery. put the jumpers on the rightfull place and there is no need to be changing bateries

Look for a program called Sound Booster or one called DFX. DFX is my favorite because it not only boosts the volume, but lets you add other effects to enhance you sound as well. There is a free version. but to get all the effects you have to upgrade to the paid. If audio is important to you, check it out.

Try going into sound select and test reinstall driver off Asus website..if you installed new windows or update drivers may not work right...see if you can roll back driver in device manager ..if not lookup your laptop model and reinstall...
