Vertical lines on screen. Can't see picture at
It sounds like you need a new screen.
Buy one on Ebay for 20 Euro (inclusive of postage)
youtube.com has great videos of how to change a screen.
You will need a tweezers and very small "philips" (cross/plus head) screwdriver.
Make sure the screwdriver has magnets....so that you dont lose some screws....they are tiny.
If you buy a replacement "LCD Screen Display" on Ebay then usually all the tools you need are included. (I just checked).
I also have just replaced my screen....screen was damaged...LCD leaked and lots of vertical lines on a now only WHITE screen.
Camera works fine now.
Check to see if the camera is still working.
Try taking some pictures....and then put the SD-card into your computer to see if the pictures are being taken.
Kodak v570 showing camere error
Error E45 is a lens stuck error and appears if there is an obstruction in the lens gears. The obstruction is usually just dust or something of the like and can be resolved by gently tapping on the camera lens with your hand. Here is a thread where I suggested the same and it seems to have worked for a lot of people
http://www.fixya.com/support/t240817-camera_error_e45Worth a try before you send it in to Kodak for repair. Don't hit it too hard as the lens may break.
I am getting an error
Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
E45 error message sometimes means that the lens is misaligned, This error is also may be due to failure of the control system.
To solve this follow the given solution:
You can remove
battery and card replace battery and while switching on tap the lens
hood on your hands so as to disengage any dirt or mechanism being
struck.
Use some air to blow between the lens to dislodge any sand
particles struck inside. If none of these works then you can think of
taking consensus with the service center. You must keep in mind that to open the camera without good experience is not recommended and might tamper the delicate unit so best option is to Contact
Kodak to see if your camera is still under warranty, otherwise contact
any Kodak Cameras service provider, your problem will be solved.
I hope this solution helps you

Kodak easyshare v570 camera error
Hello
The problem is that the lens has become stuck in the barrel. There are some DIY solutions you could try, but the
probability is that you will have to get it fixed by a professional.
Use
these at own risk as it may further damage the camera.
Firstly ,
try connecting your ac adapter or usb cable.
Try holding the
shutter button while switching on the camera.
Look at the lens ,
and if some of the lens 'circles' is misaligned or not concentric then
try wiggling it (while holding camera lens down).
Try gently
pushing or pulling the lens when it extends but this is risky as it may
cause the lens barrel to slip out of its guidance system.
Another
way to do this is to place the camera lens down on a hard surface and
then power it up. Be sure to use a soft cloth or something similar as to
not scratch your lens or casing. Let the lens push the camera up and
down a few times and sometimes the little resistance provided by the
camera is enough to get things going again.
Try hitting your
camera near the lens on the body with the soft tissue on the palm of
your hand.
Other than that , I would take the camera to a repair
center for a evaluation to see if it would cost more to repair than to
replace the camera.
If it is still under warranty I would suggest
you take it in before trying any of these steps and remove any
off-brand batteries or accessories as some stores are really fussy about
warranty repairs on camera's with non-brand accessories.

the advise is useful. please do not hesitate to let me know if you need

Solution for me: Strike the camera a few times. Error gone.
Seriously - I got this error on a very humid day. The error seems related to the lens moving mechanism. My V570 is 4 years old, not really worth the expense to fix. So .. a couple of hard smacks, and ... back to life.
Good luck!
