hi
texasfan_1There could be a lot of reasons why, Mostly it is on the one or more
of the Protection Circuits that have been activated .
Here is a partial list of Reset Procedures:
Here are some points to check inside the unit :
a ) Check if +Vcc and -Vcc is available ( you can post it )
b ) If available , Try to measure each of the main amp ( you have
more than one ) offset voltage [ Center of the two ( 2 ) resistors ,
with the yellow arrow inside the blue circle ]
c ) If there is an offset voltage of more than 0.7V then , surely
these could be one of the candidate for troubleshooting for
component level.
d ) you may then , need to remove the pair Power Transistors
and check it outside the Board later.
e ) Once you power it up , then it produce an audio on your
speakers , you may need to replace the pair of Power Transistors
after checking the output or offset voltage has changed and close
to 0.7V.
If still for instance , it still do have an offset voltage , you may not
hear audio yet, , Have a check on the Driver transistors to
VAS circuits if these happens.
f ) If for instances, that all main amps seems OK , basing on your
Voltage reading ( use the chassis as your reference ground )
then still having no audio on the output ( speakers ) , you may
need to use a Signal tracer to trace for missing signals going
to the input of your main amplifiers.
g ) here is a link to guide you , how to troubleshoot missing
audio :
http://www.fixya.com/support/r4008719-diagnose_not_having_audio_right_channelthe unit may not be the same as yours, but the principle in
troubleshooting is the same
There could be other causes , but try on those first,
Let me know , if you need further assistance , once you restarted
probing around.
Hope these guides helps!
