Sony (ICSSP20) TV Input Questions & Answers
I cannot make my wii to work on my Sony tv
Some newer hdtvs use the green rca in the back for both a/v and component. Usually it has green with a touch of yellow on rca input itself. Then plug in audio to red and white.

Have you checked your connections to ensure that everything is properly connected from your TV to your cable or dish box?
Have you tested your TV on multiple types of media. ie, DVD player, game system, live TV? Do you get the same problem with every type of media?
If your TV only has problems playing live TV it may be a problem with your service provider's equipment, if the error occurs with multiple media types then I suggest you contact Sony and inquire as to getting your TV replaced.
How to undo safe mode
This isn't safe mode, what you see is the result of a failing component inside your tv going bad and sending the power source in the protected mode.
The tv must be opened and tested to identify and replace the defective part. This is a job that should be left to a professional repairman, if you don't know exactly what you're doing you could mess it even further.
Tv turns off by itself then back on
There can be several causes for this, few of which you can do anything about. However, a few things to try:
1) Replace the batteries on your remote control.
2) Try resetting the logic functions on your tv by unplugging it for a minute, then plugging it back in.
3) Try covering up the infra-red receptor on the front of your TV to see if you're getting unwanted signals from the receptor. taping a piece of foil over that area is perfect. If it doesn't stop after doing these two things you'll probably need to take it to a shop.
4) If this does stop it, then look for unexpected signal sources. Have you added a remote control extender? Added a new device to your audio-video system? Changed to a new remote?
I hope this helps. Joe
I am trying to connect
Hi:
You must first make sure all inputs in the video option menu are turned on, some sony units only make these inputs operational when there is a signal dectected on the inputs. Connect the input on video 7 input then check you menu to see if input is now active.

Hi, I am sorry, I had to leave. You are okay to go to another guide without added fees. Good luck with your problem!
Question on adapters for older tvs
What you are looking for is a Coaxial (or F pin cable) to RCA (or Composite) converter. You are going to need an actual converter...not just a cable ...because you actually need to convert the signal.
The biggest question is where do you get one of these things? I found one on line that I think would work for what you need to do. http://www.cablewholesale.com/specs/40x3-30400.htm
Check it out but before you order it, email them and tell them exactly what you want to do...or make sure they have a good return policy in case it doesn't work the way you think. Another option is to go into your local Radio Shack...they may have something that will do the trick.
Good luck!!!
