MY Canon Pixma MP 500 Printer won't Print.

Hi
Error 6A00
The 6A00 is a Canon generic code for paper path jam.

Solution 1:
Move the printhead carriage back and forth a few times.

Solution 2:
Check the purge unit: Moving the print head assembly will not clear a purge unit if its jammed with paper, paper clips, push pins, screws, cookie crisp, flower bud pods or the like.

Solution 3:
Press the ink pads down in the purge unit.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Will not print text

I have to ask this question of you, just to make sure this is not an issue. Are you using a factory new ink cartridge?
Please consider the following:
If you are using a refilled or third party cartridge that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges.
They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead.
If you are using factory new cartridges, then please call the manufacturers Technical Support for assistance with the warranty on the cartridges

Canon F60 Multiprinter printing random light lines.

I had a case just like yours where the printer wasn't in use for some months because there was a second, better printer to use instead. So when the abandoned one was to be used again, it was no longer salvageable. And I tried cleaning it and maintaining it doing everything in the book to make it work again but no matter what I did, it ended up in the garbage bin after all my wasted time and effort. I'm sorry. I wish I had better news for you but I'm speaking from experience. Yours might be a write-off too in which case you are better off to just buy a better one.

Canon printer i560 error 5100

Hi You can Try
This been here long time
Error Code 5100
Solution 1:
Clean the timing strip.

Solution 2:
The purge cap (the white sliding mechanism that the print head parks to when it's not in use) may be not lubricated well enough .

Lubricate the sliders with some white grease (don't get it on the small wipers or the black caps); this repair probably require to remove the right panel off of the printer to gain access to the purge mechanism.

Hello, my Canon PIXMA IP1600 is suddenly not

Error 5100 is always a carriage error.
first thing to do is check is check the timing strip(plastic strip wide around 1/4 inches and usually located behind the print head)
Make sure there is nothing around it like piece of paper or staple or pen/pencil etc.
Make sure the strip is moving freely and hasnt come out of the roller.

Check VERY thoroughly for any obstruction at all, a very small piece of paper can cause the problem.

I just installed windows 7 on my computer- is the

The installation software only lists the following OS:
Windows 98/Me/2000/XP

If you load the software then update the drivers you may have a working printer with windows 7.

Anytime someone updates their OS early it is a risk.
Many components may not work or crash.

If your the type that likes to keep with the newest technology.
Remember there is a reason geeks call this the bleeding edge.

Good luck!
Hope this helps!

Wasted ink near full keeps flashing

It means you need a fresh ink absorber, the whole set is about $10.00 but it's best done at a shop where they can reset the counter after replacement. The ink absorbers are under the printer and cover the whole bottom of the printer case.
