Poweredge 6600 not showing display

If you have multiple video connections (onboard from motherboard, usually vertical or stand alone video card, usually horizontal) that you plug into the stand alone card, as the onboard is normally disabled when the expansion is installed. Verify the cable and monitor both work and that the monitor is on the correct input. Finally try another video card, if you have one available. Even if the drivers are not correct, etc, you should still see a boot screen.

How to add new HD in existing RAID 5

Here is a link to info from Dell about exactly how to do it.

http://en.community.dell.com/forums/t/18625422.aspx

A few things to keep in mind:

1. Your data should be safe but back it up first anyway.

2. Schedule this off hours if possible as you won't lose access to the data during the re-striping process but performance will be degraded and it will most likely take hours to complete.

Regarding Adding Higher Configuaration HDD Into Exisisting Raid 5

In raid 5 yes you can, yet you won't use the ful hard drive, the system will take only 73GB because that's the smallest HD in your array.

Just, of course, follow the indications for your specific RAID hardware/software about how to add a new HD to it:

Power is 2950 i912 sel full

Namrata_stha, The I912 error is referring to the System Event Log is full of events and because of this is unable to log anymore. You must clear the log in order for the Server Management controller to log any more events. Now depending on the OS installed there are different ways to clear it. If Windows Server 2k8 you would use this command - wevtutil el ' foreach { wevtutil cl $_ } Where with Server 2003 you can go tot he Event viewer and clear it. Let me know if this helps.

Dell poweredge t105 freezes at boot

You will have to get into the controlled setup in order to find out what the problem is, or you can simply hit ctrl-D and do the Dell disk diagnostics which will take an hour or more, but will give you an idea of where to start. Logically, if it won't boot, then your RAID is probably broken. it can sometimes be repaired through either the RAID or controller setup menu, which you can see during boot. go here, for the manuals and documentation on how to do that: http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/poweredge-t105/manuals
