Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-TX10 Digital Camera Questions & Answers
Water in inside battery, its possible repair?
It is possible to repair. But you would need to buy another camera on ebay like this for parts with a broken screen, it will have those circuit boards to replace in your camera. Your cameras circuit boards are damaged by water. You can try to take apart the camera and use a fine needle to clean out white rust from the elements of the board, it may work too. To do that you need a very fine screwdriver and a good magnifying glass with good light.
Dsc-tx9 japanese language only
Pretty sure you should be able to put in some new firmware, but I can't find any hint. Not in the manual, not with Sony.Perhaps you should register the camera, and contact Sony with the question how to change the firmware so you have multi language. Just tell them you got the camera as a present from your friends (associate or what ever) from Japan but you can't work with the language.
Not connecting to computer
It could be the cable or the port on the camera or the port on the computer.Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as
Picasa.
