Hello, the problem of the dvd player is that the len of the player could be dirty, so you can clean the lens with a clean cotton bud but you have to open the cover of th dvd player and if this don not work, you need to change the lens and will invovle a skilled personnel to work on this....

The laserunit slides on one side in the frame, the other side slides on a oiled pin. You have to remove the pin, often you can slide them away at the back of the unit by pushing a piece of plastic sideways. Then you can take out the laserunit.

DVD PLAYER WAS WORKING AND NOW STATES NO DISC OR WILL NOT PLAY THIS DISC...THE VCR STILL WORKS..
