Replace 120k resistor on the blue
video output module. Resistor is located next to the blue video
output transistor (has heat sink). If you replace it with a 1/2 watt
carbon type, it will probably never happen again. I recomend the
same resistor on the red and green video boards at the same time.
You will need new Convergence amp ICs two of them. Whenever you cant move a color either red or blue in all 4 directions it means your convergence amp IC are bad you can get them at the following site .They should be STK392-110. But look inside your et to be sure they are right next to each other mounted to a big heat sink.I have pulledup thepage that has the ICs i believe you needto show you what they look like. But double check your numbers just to be sure. You will need heat sink compound as well. http://www.electronix.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/6_308/products_id/9359
what cable boxdo uuse can use s video out for video to tv and rca cable for sound left and right is it a hd tv then u wantto use coumpiunt cable or hdmi
You need to take the screen off the front. You will find the screen comes away from the frame and seperates into two sheets. The liquid is seeping inbetween the two. If you clean it with Meths it should sort it without marking it.
Possible bad solder connections in convergence circuit or vertical deflection circuit. This happens in alot of equipment. After warm up, expansion of joint pulls connections loose. Recommend not running like this, could cause component failure.
No im sorry to say, not in the standby mode but in the shutdown mode. this could be from several things. like a bad regulator IC in the main supply, or a set of bad capacitors between the main power supply and the sweep power supply, or maybe a shorted audio output IC oer a shorted convergence IC or could even be because fluid leaked down onto the Printed circuit board, from the CRTs. If your not a tech Please call one as it not a place for someone to be tinkering around with!
Please dont forget to rate this.
There are two IC's in your set that need to be replaced. These are convergence IC's. They have stk letters and some numbers on them and they stand up on a metal heat sink. If you know how to unsolder and solder on solid state printed circuit boards then you can replace them as long as you are carefull. These solid state sets are really super unforgiving if you slip and touch or short something together as there is still voltage in them even when they are unplugged. if you havew no electronics training, I would recommend that you seek out a trained tech to repair this set for you. It should not exceed more the a few hundred bucks and some peeps do it for even less.
This is a known issue with this TV. The following might resolve it:
Check Mute and Volume:
Ensure that the TV is not muted and that the volume is set appropriately. Sometimes accidental button presses can lead to muted sound or low volume.
Inspect External Speakers:
If you're using external speakers, verify their connections. Loose cables or faulty speakers can cause sound issues.
Test Different Inputs:
Connect a non-HDMI device (such as a DVD player) to the TV. Observe if the sound distortion occurs. If it doesn't, the problem might be related to the HDMI signal from your Virgin box.
HDMI Troubleshooting:
If the issue persists with the DVD player over HDMI, consider the following:
HDMI Cable: Check the HDMI cable for damage or loose connections.
Virgin Signal: Contact Virgin to inspect the signal/lines and replace the box if necessary.
Mainboard Replacement (if needed):
If the sound distortion persists, it could be due to a faulty sound processor chip on the TV's mainboard. In this case, consider replacing the mainboard.

There may be loose contact or track open in main board. So try to check the main board thoroughly where you may find the loose of connection or track open.
Locate the Battery Cover: Look for the battery cover on the back of the remote control. It is usually a small compartment that can be easily opened.
Remove the Battery Cover: Depending on the design, there may be a latch, screw, or sliding mechanism to secure the battery cover. Use your fingers or a small screwdriver to open the compartment.
Remove Old Batteries: Take out the old batteries from the battery compartment. Pay attention to the orientation of the batteries, so you know how to insert the new ones correctly.
Check Battery Polarity: Take note of the positive (+) and negative (-) signs inside the battery compartment. Make sure to insert the new batteries with the correct polarity to match these markings.
Insert New Batteries: Place the new batteries into the battery compartment, ensuring they are properly aligned with the correct polarity. Press them down gently to make sure they are secure.
Replace Battery Cover: After inserting the new batteries, close the battery compartment cover securely. If it has a latch or screw, make sure it is fastened properly.
Test the Remote: Point the remote at the device it controls (such as a Toshiba TV) and test whether it responds to your commands. If the remote is working correctly, you have successfully replaced the batteries.
Dispose of Old Batteries: If the old batteries are no longer usable, make sure to dispose of them properly. Many communities have designated recycling locations for batteries.

They are purely a numerical identifier of when it was made, year, day, number on the shift, whether it Joe or Billy who did final inspection.
With a MODEL number I can find them easily with just 'make model manual'.
