My AcuRite 00992 wireless weather

Double check the batteries to make sure they are installed correctly. If one of the batteries in the outdoor sending unit is in backwards, it will not send the outdoor data. On the indoor unit, there is typically one battery that is used for receiving the signal from the outdoor unit. If all of the batteries are in correctly but that one, you will see the display and the indoor temperature information, but the outdoor information will not be displayed.

The time display won't stop flashing

Q: Why does the time on my clock flash?
A: A flashing display is an indication of low battery power. We recommend using fresh alkaline batteries. We do NOT recommend using rechargeable batteries or heavy duty batteries in any of our digital products. They are not designed for this type of use and may cause the unit to perform as a defective unit or not at all. They will also cause the display to flash 100% of the time.

Acu-Rite indoor outdoor thermometer won't stop periodic beeping

There is no way to turn off beeping. From this site: http://www.chaneyinstruments.com/FAQ.aspx
found solution - search for - Q: My wireless weather station periodically beeps, why?
A: .. unit's ability to detect a foreign radio frequency of another wireless unit when that unit transmits a signal. .. any wireless devices transmitting on a radio frequency have the potential to interfere with each other. Limit the amount of wireless devices to lesson the chance of interference. When beeping occurs, one device will need to be deactivated.

There is no way to turn off beeping, d/s designers forgot. I had the same problem, another external temp gauge showed up on the other channel, so my neighbor or someone is using the similar unit. MY SOLUTION: opened back of case and cut black wire to piezo speaker (at base if rear cover opposite side of stand-up prop) that creates beep. Don't use any sound features, ALL good now.

Acu-Rite indoor outdoor thermometer (model 00754)

There is no way to turn off beeping. From this site: http://www.chaneyinstruments.com/FAQ.aspx
found solution - Q: My wireless weather station periodically beeps, why?
A: Make sure that any alert and/or alarm features are deactivated first. Constant, sporadic beeping is generally due to the unit's ability to detect a foreign radio frequency of another wireless unit when that unit transmits a signal. Wireless devices that may cause beeping but are not limited to these devices are; scanners; computers w/wireless keyboard/mouse; or other wireless weather instruments. Essentially, any wireless devices transmitting on a radio frequency have the potential to interfere with each other. Limit the amount of wireless devices to lesson the chance of interference. When beeping occurs, one device will need to be deactivated.

Another external temp gauge showed up on the other channel, so my neighbor or someone is using the similar unit. MY SOLUTION: opened back of case and cut black wire to piezo speaker (at base if rear cover opposite side of stand-up prop) that creates beep. ALL good now.

Our new model #00592W1 includes a low temperature

I found this on another Acu-Rite manual: In case temperatures fall below -4F, bring the wireless sensor indoors and use the included low temperature adaptor by routing the wire out through a soft seal opening such as a window or door. (That way the Wireless sensor is protected indoors in extreme temperatures. Low temp adaptor is used outside to observe temperature.)
