what component input did you use in the tv, the hdmi or vga port?.might not compatible video resolution of the pc to the tv.

you have a picture but its smokey looking?..check your settings first of all,,,,brightness,,,color etc, other than that would be the illumonators.no diy job

It sounds like a couple of your back lights have burned out. I suggest taking it to a service center to have it looked at to make sure.

Sure. Turn off TV remove plug and push and hold power button for 10 seconds. Pull power supply and replace every capacitor (barrel looking things) on the board with an equivalent replacement. YOu can go higher in voltage but not farads, ie. 4.7uf 25V can be replaced with a 4.7uf 50V. Usually they wont cost more than $15 total. Any capacitor that has a bulged top (they should be completely flat) is a sign that it has gone bad. I would replace all before seeking professional service which is probably 50% of the value of the TV. Worth a shot.

hiif i am right u have to right click desktopthan screen resolutionselect your computers capability.how this happened? you could have opened a application that changed the resolution since it needs other.hope this helped
