I can't find the network

Hello,

It looks like the Soltek website doesn't exist anymore. You'll need to do a Google Search for your specific model of motherboard to find the correct drivers for it. (Softpedia, Driverguide, Opendrivers)

Here's a couple of links, I'm not sure how reliable they are but it's a start. :)
http://list.driverguide.com/list/company963/OTHER/
http://www.driversfix.com/Soltek_Motherboard_drivers/cat16/cmp478_page3.html
Most of the other websites I've come across just contains the BIOS.

No sound

You will have to download the driver from the mfr.'s website. There are other sources but often they do not have the most recent version.

Audio driver not loaded

You need to install the VIA drivers from the Mainboard driver CD first, then the Audio driver on the same CD. Do it in that order!

Soltek 75frv

I had this problem. The sound driver is on the Soltek Mainboard Driver CD that comes with the motherboard. I am pretty sure you have to install the VIA drivers first - the order of installation is important. Hope this helps.

Disabling Bios Writing Protection

Sometimes the BIOS calls this protection some sort of "virus protection" as past viruses, like the CIH virus would tend to overwrite motherboard BIOS' with jargon, bricking the motherboard. Try disabling any onboard "virus" protection and try flashing your BIOS again.

BIOS DISPLAYING INCORRECT CPU SPEED

Hi, I have to agree "...that the motherboard's bios doesn't recognize the processor and that I should upgrade the bios...". Though I think that this is only a display issue and not necessarily true CPU speed. You can check if the correct CPU is displayed inside Windows by right click on My Computer and details would be shown in the System Properties. To upgrade the BIOS: 1. Determine/log your current BIOS and its date by pressing Pause on initial boot when motherboard details are shown; 2. Continue booting by pressing escape and run your Windows normally. Go to the website of your motherboard manufacturer and verify if they have an updated BIOS (compare date of release). If an updated BIOS is available, download. Likewise download the flashing utility. Further instructions are also available on a step by step procedure. Some newer mb versions/models have a Window based update feature. Check if you have such. Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things are or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.
