Canon pixma ip1000 black ink stop printing suddenly

Hi, Based on your explanation I will try to help. Your ink tank had run out. You can refill it through the bottom of the tank or just simply replace your ink tank.

I have canon pixma ip1000.

This printer is quite old now and has a limited life on the print head. The fault you are describing sounds like blocked nozzles and can be as a result of either the print head starting to fail, or ink clogging the front of the nozzles. The most likely culprit will be the purge unit/capping station as it may have old ink and dirt/dust over time caked on it which could be making the problem worse by redepositing the junk into the nozzles instead of cleaning the head! I would suggest that if you are not too technical or hands on, then a new printer would be a better route to take as the cost of a print head is not worth the expense if cleaning the print head and purge unit with an old soft cloth and warm water doesn't help. I hope this info is useful.

Printing in one color only and only part of the picture

Have you printed a test pattern? Do you have ink in all the cartridges? If you have ink, you might just have a defective printer head if cleaning does not correct situation,.

Why does my Canon Pixma ip1000 not print black?

I think this is a pretty old printer. It would cost more to fix than a new one. I recommend you recycle it.

My printer misses lines when printing.

Definitely a partial clog. Remove your ink cartridge and take it to your microwave. DO NOT PUT IT IN THE MICROWAVE. Fold up some paper towels and apply enough water to the towels to get wet and damp but not dripping. Heat the wet towels in the microwave to get very hot (about 30 seconds). Now, place the cartridge on the steamy hot paper towel and let the steam and hot water dissolve the dried ink. After the towel cools drag the ink contacts across the wet paper towel and look for a smooth and even line of ink. One smooth wide line for black and three smooth lines for the color . Try the drag test on some dry paper towels for the final test. If necessary repeat the whole process again. For stubborn and very old cartridges let set on the wet towel for several hours and recheck. Good Luck.

Printer will not print in black

Have you replaced the black ink cartridge? Have you tried the clean head utility? Find the printer in the Control Panel, right-click the printer, click Preferences. The Maintenance tab has a "Cleaning" button. Also look on youtube for head cleaning videos of the head; these are videos to be used with a head cleaning kit after removing the head from the printer.

WHAT IS THE PROBLEM WHEN YOU RECEIVE AN ERROR OF UNABLE TO CONVERT POST SCRIPT FILE?

If this machine is running XP, or earlier (98, 2000, ME, etc.), beware. It is no longer supported, and hackers will be looking for these machines to infect. I recommend you back up your data (pictures, documents, etc.) and get a newer machine, or don't try to get on the Internet with this one. If the machine won't boot or let you back it up, and you have important files on it, you could purchase a USB Hard Drive Adaptor, pull out the hard drive, and copy any important files to another machine. That way, at least you may not lose your files. Good luck.

My canon ip1000 printer show error "print head not available". but head already fix in place

The print head may not be proper electrical connection. Remove the print head and clean the electrical contacts on the ink cartridge and in the printer with methylated spirits, replace the print head and hopefully this will fix the problem.
