you need lens alignment there are three lenses that needs to be aligned to work seamlessly

It needs new convergence chips and possibly a fuse

Your TV may have a convergence failure. ( common problem )

Here are some of the most common symptoms and example photos of a convergence problem

• Screen looks 3D
• Colors don't line up
• One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
• Screen is bowed or warped.

Here is a quick test....

Using your original remote go-to the tv settings then goto the convergence section.

Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.

You should be able to move them up, down, left, and right.

If you can't move them in all directions your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.



You will need to replace the convergence chips and possibly some convergence resistors and pico fuses. Its a fairly easy DIY job or you can call in a pro. If you want to do the repair yourself check the site www.TvRepairKits.com. Their kits include a photo instruction guide, original OEM Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, pico fuses, thermal paste, email/phone support, etc.

It sounds like the color wheel has gone bad and needs to be replaced. This is located behind the back panel... replacing a new colour wheel will solve ur problem

Could be a bad Relay.

You have a short in the power supply or high voltage. You will need a sevice tech to deal with that problem. Make sure to get an est before repair

Sounds like bad convergence chip. I think you can get a kit to repair it at www.tvrepairkits.com

You need to be good with a soldering iron if you plan on doing this yourself.

You would have to completely take the Mirror out or Mylar backing and being careful not to damage anything, trying to move and reassemble when you get at the new location.

First check the zoom on your cable/satalitte remote

You are dealing with bad solder connections. The solution is to pull the board, put it under a magnifying glass and resolder all suspicious connections. before going too far with pulling the chassis, look over all the boards near the egde under the tubes. Be sure there is no liquid present, if there is give it up the set is toast. If not then continue on and place piece of plastic draped over the front of the left and middle boards to about 5 inches in towards the center just before putting the back on the set.

May it have been knocked about so the projectors are out of alignment, or may it have been standing next to a powerfull magnetic field?

It may also sound like a mirror may have become misaligned, since the top half is affected

May have cold solder joints-Broken joints -on the connectors on the deflection yokes on one or more crts.THis is the connector that the cables from the main chassis to the yokes plug in .They get cold joints that lose connection when they heat up on some Mitsubishi sets.Also may be bad solder joints on the vertical output IC on the deflection board.

That sounds like a bad vertical circuit. Do you know how to use a meter and solder? If so we can troubleshoot otherwise you will need to call a repairman. A good repairman should run you $300-$500 to repair this. Let me know what you would like to do!

This is most commonly caused by the Formatter not booting up. The cure is to replace 4 capacitors on the Formatter board 1000 mfd @ 16vdc. The Formatter is the large stand up shielded board on the left as you look in from the back of the set. The capacitors will be domed on top if bad.

A can of compressed air might do the trick. If dirt is stuch, I'd suggest useing the same chemicals/cloths/etc you would use for cleaning camera lenses. Check at your local photo store.

Just make sure the lenses aren't hot when you apply cold and/or flamable chemicals.
