The E1 code is an error code that appears on the LED temperature display of some digital air conditioners. The error code could mean anything from dirty air filters to a damaged room thermistor, a safety connected to your thermostat that detects room temperature. Sounds like an old unit with a bad run capacitor or check the components on the board for burnt wiring. Fans on window units are controlled by a 3way switch. High, Med., and low. Your power and in most cases a capacitor which doubles for the compressor and fan. So it can only be 1 of the 3 Burnt out windings on the motor Bad switch Bad capacitor

E1-Automatic filter clean reminder.

Turn the air conditioner OFF and unplug it. NOTE: The air conditioner must be unplugged for the automatic filter clean timer to reset.

Clean the filter. See the Care and Cleaning section in your use&care manual. After cleaning, replace the filter and plug the air conditioner back in.

The window unit is most likely not tilted towards the outside so that the condensate (water) can flow to the drains on the outside part of the unit. Try leveling the A/C or even tilting (Slightly) towards the outside. This will cure your problem.

If this does not cure the problem then you will have to remove the a/c from the window/wall and remove the cover. Inside you will see the drip pan in the bottom and will have to clean the water channels the run from the pan to the outside part of the unit, they will be clogged with dirt or debris and not letting the water flow properly.

On a Haier Split system a E7 error is a failure of the outdoor inverter PCB and the outdoor power supply PCB. Both will need replacing. Looking around $600 for those parts. Plus fitting. The indoor PCB is very unlikely to be needed.

Window units do not come with service ports. You can buy them at local parts houses, but unless you have the freon, not gonna do you any good. Window ac use either r22 our 410a, and that cannot be bout without being certified.
