Model and brand is always helpful when requesting

Timer motor likely bad. Will need timer.
Washer does not spin and drain
It's most likely that the lid switch which is either loose or faulty. The lid switch keeps the tub from spinning when the lid is up or the door is open -- it's a safety feature.
More info, let me know...

Water continuously runs and cycle won't start
Probably a syphon problem . Check your drain hose to make sure hose is not stuffed too far down drain and air can get between the hose and the drain pipe . If you have tapped the hose to the drain to keep water from comming out the drain pipe , go to home depot or an appliance parts house , and get a syphon break . When a washer fills , but water level doesn't rise in the machine , it's being sucked out by syphoning thru your sewer pipe .
Washer will not stop filling with water, will not
This is caused by a faulty water level switch. This is a diaphragm like device with a small clear plastic tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. As the water level increases, the pressure increases on the air in the tube and when it reaches a certain level, it activates the switch to shut off the water and signals the timer to start the agitate cycle. Look for any obstruction in the tube and the switch can be tested for continuity using a multimeter. No continuity indicates a faulty switch. Sure hope this helped and best wishes.
GE WJRR4170 washer comes out of overflow tube on super load
I have a 2005 model GE washer that would overfill only on SUPER size load. After looking around on the web, then inside the machine, I checked the tube from the tub to the switch, no problem there. Then I found an adjustment screw on the load size selector / pressure switch (all one piece). I moved it one turn clockwise, then ran a test cycle. I got lucky on the first try... no more overflow, the water comes up just above the top holes in the tub. I hope this will help others.
Washer won't drain
depends on what type of washer it is but it should have a filter on the front bottom of it ,some times they have a plastic cover over them just remove the cover at the bottom of the washer and then turn the filter and pull it out and clean.
hope this helps you
Wont agitate,but does spin/drain
you have worn out dog agitation ears. it's a very easy fix. parts should be no more than $10. Good luck :) please let me know if you need any other help.
How do I drain the outer tub of my washing machine?
If you own a wet/dry shop vac this can take about 5 minutes. Pull the drain hose from the stand pipe at the wall and pull a vacuum using the shop vac. These front loaders usually only hold about 5 to 7 gallons when full.
If you do not own a shop vac, you will need to access the drain pump and either remove one of the drain lines, or remove the clean out trap cover on the drain pump (if equipped). You will need a lot of extra towels to catch all the water. This can be a messy method to use.
If you need further assistance, please post back with your brand name and model number. All front loaders are not designed the same and this makes it much easier to diagnose. I hope this helps you.
Water overflows the tub
The problem could be with the timer control or the water level switch or the air tube or the water inlet valve. A technician visit is advised to check in case you are not so familiar with the internal parts. If somehow you can provide me the model number, I can give you the internal diagrams so that checking these parts becomes easy. This is not a serious problem, can be easily dealt with. All the best. Please do rate my solution if accepted. Also do post further comments regarding my solution. Will be glad to help you.Thank you.

GE Top load washer 15years old. noisy when spinning
washer making a load cluck noise when the spin cycle starts.
It only happens when the motor turns slow for the first minute during the spin cycle. Otherwise it works fine.
if the motor is proper then the bearings in the motor got rusted and that needs replacement.the beasrings are located on the back of the motor.
Our washer is not spinning
generally if a washer will not do a spin cycle its one of two things......... motor brushes need changing or the machine is overfilling which would indicate the internal filter is dirty causing the level switch to misread
Overflowing water. Water keeps running and will not stop.
The hose you're blowing into is the pressure switch hose. It connects between the tub and the pressure switch which controls the water level.
Basically, as the water level rises so does the air pressure in the hose and pressure switch. When there is enough air pressure inside the pressure switch, a diaphragm contacts a switch (clicking sound) and shuts off the inlet water valve.
This hose will sometimes stretch with time at the connection points. When this happens, air is able to escape and therefore never builds enough pressure to activate the diaphragm.
Obviously, replace the hose if it is damaged. If there are no visible holes or cracks in the hose, try trimming 1/4" off each end of the hose (diaphragm side and tub side) and reconnect making sure to push hose ends securely onto connections.
Alternatively you can use small clamps on each end.
If this doesn't work, you may need to replace the pressure switch.
Good luck!
Ge 7 cycle wcxr1070t5ww agitator
Hi!
If the lid switch is defective, the washing machine may not agitate or function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washing machine to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.
Thanks
Rylee
