Hi Jorge Check on the remote if the buttons aren't stuck / sticking then check on the side panel of the television if the button there are not pressing against anything. Lastly check to see your channel setup is fine and do a auto scan for the channels to ensure that it's not a memory issue

The new board may be causing this--either defective or the set needs a reset of some type---get the board from Samsung or where?

I've tried everything except replacing parts on a component level. I don't have a digital volt meter so cant measure what is working. Visually checked all the capacitors and it all looks good. Don't really want to replace the whole power supply cause everything is still good. What can I do, and if push comes to shove, where would i get a power supply from and what part number would it be.

The tv have 2 long LCD inverter boards are dead.These 2 long LCD inverter boards help the tv LCD screen panel to have a backlight to produced a picture.That why u have audio only no video.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy those 2 long LCD inverter boards for the replacement.

Replace the power supply to start with as it sounds like a capacitor has blown. If power supply is o.k then Im afraid your projector may be faulty but I'd be fairly confident its a capacitor, They are 80% of the problems we see coming in for repair. You can examine the power supply and see if you can identify the faulty capacitor and cut it off the board and solder a new one on of the same rating. It will be fairly obvious if one has blown as it will be burned and split. Dont touch any capacitors without discharging them though or you could get a bit of a shock. Google how to discharge a capacitor and youll see directions. Hope this helps.

I just fixed a friend's set that had the same symptoms.
Multimeter check: all the expensive parts are still good!
Physical check: Hmmm this pair of 10V 1000uF caps are bulging on their tops. ( they are located by the output connectors ).
I swapped out the two bad caps. and Bingo!

good day i think theres a parts that links to the main board is shorted. causing not to on your tv. you need a qualified technician to fix that problem,

It probably is the Keyboard on the side. I've had this quite a few times. Simply pull off the back and unplug the side keyboard. It should be the last board in a chain of wires coming from the main to the IR sensor then finally keyboard. Unplug the keyboard and then plug TV back in and see if it stops, if so that was your problem, if not it will likely be your main board then. The TV usually can operate without the key board you will just have to use the remote for everything, but the keyboard is generally pretty cheap like $15.
