Nikon COOLPIX S230 Digital Camera - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Nikon coolpix S8200 won't connect to mac and download pictures
Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use iPhoto or any other photo management program.

Can a cracked lense be replaced?
Go on Nikon's website and find the nearest Nikon Service Center. They can give you a price. However, my educated guess is that will probably cost considerably more then the camera is worth.
Nikon s5200 will not turn on
Hi please do double checks your battery. Make sure to try it out with the brand new one. The best way is to take it to the repair shop and ask the technician to check the battery condition. Most don't charges money and at the same time they tell you the estimate cost to repair it. sually buy new one is cheaper than repair depends on the camera some may already experience a major problem within electronic board or mechanical which not worst it to repair. Hope this help!

The best way to download videos (and pictures) from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. Or you can use any photo/video cataloging program such as Nikon Transfer.
Memory Card
SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Consider NOT connecting the camera to the computer.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.
There are also plenty of photo catalog software packages out there, some free, some not, that can transfer and catalog your pictures so you can quickly find pictures from Susie's birthday party, for example. Just do a google search for "photo catalog software". Or you can use NIkon Transfer or any other photo cataloging program.
