I have a # symbol in place of volume strength

Here is a link to the user guide: http://www.giantintl.com/RadioPDFs/Outdated%20Manuals/T6400_User_Manual_E.pdfYou might try reprogramming back to a very basic function by turning off any special features such as VOX, VibraCall, Interference Eliminator Code, Qt filtering, etc. Then see if the radio works any better. Also replace your battery pack with a known good battery, or trade batteries with a working radio.Best regards.

Sorry, parts were never offered for this radio. However, if you watch ebay, you might be able to pick one up for parts, or even a better one than you have at a reasonable price.

Best regards.

Need to dis-assemble a Motorola Visar handie

The radio is easy to disassemble and has no hidden surprises, but I doubt you're going to like what you see once you get it apart. The large screws that are very visible on the outside hold both halves of the outside to the thick radio chasey and mother board.

Your volume problem is typical for older T6400s, and is caused by the speaker binding internally. Motorola does not sell the speaker separately and it is built into the case so you can't really just un-hook it and install a new one in it's place.

That's a shame, they are great radios.

Speaker

I would like to help because I have about 10 of those radios, and one by one the speakers are binding up just like yours did.

However, the speaker is built into the frame of the radio and the Manufacture does not sell replacemt parts for them. In addition, there is really not enough room to mount a replacement speaker of similar dimensions, and I am would be quite capable of doing it myself if that was possible.

I hate to face the fact that my radios have seen better days unless I want to use a speaker mic and I don't because the extra cost, size and weight are not practical to save radios that I can replace with new for just a bit more.

They were great radios, and Motorola should be ashamed that they don't make after market speakers. I'm sure they just want to sell new ones to us.

By the way there are no 'WIRES" to the speaker, it makes contact with the board terminals when you re-assemble the radio.

I have a pair of Motorola MS350 radios. 1 works fine but one does not receive or transmit. I have both radios set up the same.

If your frequency and code are set the same, you have either a battery problem or a radio problem. For a quick battery test, swap the battery pack from the good radio into the one with the problem and see if the problem moves. Then you will know if it is simply the battery. If both settings are identical and the battery swap does not solve the problem, you have a defective radio.

I need help to dismantle a motorola radius sp10 2 way radio

Remove the battery, slip a small screw driver into the slot at the bottom of the radio between the outer housing and the battery tray, gently pry up. If your radio has a pair of battery contacts on the exterior they will come up with the tray. Be gentle, and do not disturb the Mylar ribbon that runs down the back of the tray. Once the tray is removed, using a frame removal tool (shaped like a squared letter U) you slip the tool in the channels on either side of the radio where you removed the battery tray. Then slide the tool upward until it meets the two plastic ears. The tool will slip under the ears and using your tool you can push the component board out the top of the housing. If your radio has an 8-dip-switch private line board, you may want to watch you do not damage or dislodge it in the process.

Can the Motorola factory replace the battery in the H730 headset?

It is possible to have the battery in your Motorola H730 headset replaced, but it would likely need to be done by a third-party repair service as the battery is not typically user-replaceable. Motorola does not offer an official repair service for the H730 headset, so you may need to find a third-party repair service that specializes in repairing Bluetooth headsets. Be aware that third-party repairs may void any remaining warranty on the device. You can also consider purchasing a new headset if you prefer not to have it repaired.

I have two older Motorola Walkies Talkabout FR60 wont send or receive and a T5820 with the rubber broken off the antenna is is cost feasible to fix or not

I believe for the FR60 walkie-talkies, if they are not sending or receiving, the issue could be related to the antenna, battery, or internal components. You can try replacing the batteries and/or antennas to see if that resolves the issue. As for the T5820 walkie-talkie, if the rubber on the antenna is broken, it's likely that the antenna itself is also damaged. In this case, you can try replacing the antenna with a new one. Antennas are typically available for purchase online or at electronics stores. In terms of cost, repairing older walkie-talkies like these may not always be cost-effective. If the repairs are extensive or require replacement of major components, it may be more practical to purchase new walkie-talkies instead. Below are options of the options of walkie-talkies you can buy; ir?t=emerald014-20&language=en_us&l=li2&o=1&a=b071kjlcjv

Motorola sliver headset won't power on even when the green lights are solid

There are a few things you can try to troubleshoot this issue with your Motorola Silver headset not powering on:
  1. Make sure that the headset is fully charged by connecting it to the charger for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Check the battery contacts in the headset and charger to ensure that they are clean and free of debris.
  3. Try resetting the headset by holding down the power button for 15 seconds.
  4. Try a different charger or charging cable to see if that resolves the issue.
  5. Make sure that the headset is not in pairing mode.
  6. Check the headset manual for any information regarding troubleshoot, or if there are any specific instructions for turning on the headset.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be a problem with the headset itself and you may need to contact Motorola for further assistance. Please note that the information provided is based on my knowledge cut-off date and it may not be current.

Can you use the Motorola XPR 4550 as a police scanner?

The Motorola XPR 4550 is a two-way radio, not a scanner. Scanners are devices that can listen to a wide range of frequencies, whereas two-way radios are designed for communication between a limited number of specific devices on specific frequencies. However, you can use a scanner to listen to the frequency that the Motorola XPR 4550 is transmitting on.

Motorola XTL5000. encoding is working but decoding is not. If you encode a different tone on another radio it still hears it.
