I think you mean D725, not D735. I don't think that there is an eMachine D735 model.

The D725 series is a laptop.

Unfortunately, there is no easy solution.

You will need to open the laptop, if you know how to do the reset.

First disconnect your machine from power; this is an important step (otherwise the next step won't work); then open the laptop.

Be very careful not to cause damage with static electricity from your body.

After you open it, remove the CMOS battery for 20 to 30 minutes.

That will make the motherboard forget all the CMOS settings.

Reinstall the battery and try to boot-up.

There used to be a software utility toolkit to reset the BIOS password, but it has now disappeared from the Internet because it could easily be used for illegal purposes.

I hope this helps a little bit.

The bios password was set by the owner or administrator of the machine and there is no "back door".

If you have the original Windows CD, put it in the drive and try to boot to the disc. Each computer is different so there will be different methods to achieve this, but if you don't see a prompt to boot to the CD try tapping tab or F8 to see what other options you have for boot order.

If you can boot to CD, see if you can repair your startup, or run a check disk (depending on what version of Windows you're running). If you can give some more detail I can probably help you out better as to what you need to try. Best of luck!

Hi there Andrew, we could really do with more information, such as. Has the pc been modified since you have had it ? upgraded, been seen by a technician etc, if not, and you can do this, I would suggest trying a power supply for test, but make sure it exceeds your system requirements. i.e if your current psu says 250 watts do not choose a supply less than 250 watts, make it the same or a higher wattage.

OK-- are you talking about simply connecting one computer to a home network, or setting up wireless network in general? If there is a wireless adapter in the PC and you already have a wireless network, the adapter will list all the networks in your proximity, and you choose yours. I can go into greater detail with that when I see your response.
Thanks

che cheapest tool that can effectively test a power supply is by trying a known spare power supply in its place. the cpu demands very precise voltage changes, wqhich would boggle a voltometer
