How do you reset a pin code for a phillips tv

If you have not set your PIN-code when you first turned on the TV set, you need to do this before you can use the Child lock feature.
If you forget the PIN Code, unplug the AC power cord for 10 seconds to restore the PIN Code to 0000.
If you need to set your PIN Code for the first time, proceed as follows:
  1. Press the ' MENU ' button on the remote control to access the main menu.
  2. Press the cursor up/down to select FEATURES and press OK.
  3. Press the cursor up/down to select Child Lock and press OK.
  4. When the Enter PIN appears on the screen, enter '0000'.

Toshiba 26av520u replaced blown fuse by power supply. new fuse blows immediatly when plugging in

Fault to the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

What is the most common problem for no sound on this model of tv, I have replaced the power board and also the main board in this tv and still have no sound

Check its speaker/s first. If found OK, check and replace damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit. Check whether there is picture. With almost all modern TV circuits, there will be no audio, if there is no picture. Keep this in mind. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. Surf the site in "MOSAIC" view. It will make surf easy. Surf the site with patience. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

No picture

A very dim picture in this case may be damage to the power supply of the set---If a LCD set it may use back lights of some type--if not on or at full brightness the picture will be very dark.If I was looking at this set I would open and check to see if voltage for the back lights is correct first.

We hear sound but the screen is dark and we see

Possible that the back light circuit has failed. It can be fault in the invertor circuit , normally there can be loss of voltage to the circuit , a failed transformer or drive.you can check on the line voltage and the drive output to confirm. If this seems okay the fault can be also related to the motherboard which might need assistance so as not to tamper the board with a false move.

If you are using component cables change them out. It sounds like they're faulty. Try another device like a dvd player on a different input with different cables to see if the picture is still too red or too green. If so then the tv needs servicing. If not you can rule out the television.
