They ar PLUGS not screws, so turning them will not work. I used my flathead screwdrive to pry all around the base of the plugs to remove them.

Chances are, you can probably pull a relative "fake" pin together easily enough at your local hardware store. Simply measure the length the pin Should be(the point between holes), and the width of the hole, and take those measurements into any lowes or home depot. From there, either pick up a pin if they have one, or a bolt and a wingnut, and you'll be all set! Ensure that in either case, you get a pin that is at least one inch longer than the hole's depth, to give the pin some wiggle room.

It is a $90 toy so worth repairing! START/STOP BUTTON With fingers away from track, press top of smoke stack to start and stop train. (Train will move for 30 seconds then stop. Press smoke stack to start train again.)
