Drain pump running when unit starts but no water to appliance

The machine probably has water in the base (not visibly in the machine, but in the base where the conponents are). Pull the machine out, sit the front on a large towel and holding the back of the d/w pull it towards you. Any water trapped in the base will drain out. It may be a fair amount as the flood safety switch will activate on approx 1.5 ltrs. Once you've cleared the water run a prewash or quickwash to check d/w. Hope this helps.

CL stays on

Generally, the reset buttons are marked with a small dot by them, there are usually two and they should be presses simultaneously while the machine is on for approx 5secs. (Should say 'reset' or 'cancel drain') The two buttons are usually separated by one of the other buttons.
Alternatively, the unit may reset by keeping the starting button pressed for 5 secs. (if it has a start button).
Hope this helps.

Hi- my dishwasher is not cleaning properly. It

Hi,

Probably a blocked spray arm (part that spins around). Remove each of the spray arms and check and clean all the holes as this is where the water sprays out from to clean the dishes and glasses. When they are blocked you get poor wash results.

Hope this helps

Has a bad oder

There are a few ways that people use to clean a smelly dishwasher .. First check the strainer at the bottom of the dishwasher for any food residue .. remove that before treating the washer .. then you can do some or one or all of these to see what works for you
If the strainer is messy, pour a good layer of baking soda in the strainer , then pour in some vinegar, it will foam and clean the strainer .. periodically adding vinegar until the foaming stops.
Put a cup or two of vinegar in the washer and run an empty cycle , use it on hot water cycle.
Put in some bleach and run an empty cycle
Put some lemonaide mix in the washer and run it ..

Good luck

The dishwasher will not drain.

Check your main drain system. Remove the drain hose from that end and discharge them in a bucket. Try a new wash an if the m/c drain system is ok, it will discharge water in the bucket.

Check the house main drain for clogging at the hose connecting end.

Won't complete the cycle

Hello, welcome to Fixya.

The reason your dishwasher is displaying a "1" is the control has detected a heating error. Here`s why...

The issue with your Bosch dishwasher likely lye`s within`the electronic timer/control, specifically the heater relay solder joint. ( a faulty flow switch, ntc or heater can also cause this, but not very probable ). This is why it runs forever unless pressing the two buttons for "cancel".

To repair your unit It will require you to remove the control from the unit and then remove the control from it`s plastic housing and look for a burnt solder contact on the printed circuit board. This will be one of the pins from the heater relay, hence the unit sit`s at "1" ( because it can`t heat to advance or until canceled ) trying to heat the water.

**Further to this, if you or someone you know is proficient at soldering, a lot of times it can be remedied by simply repairing the solder...although Bosch recommend`s replacing the control and I don`t pretend to speak on there behalf nor do I profess to know better. This is just my experience (it work`s) and my opinion (why buy new if one can repair ?)**

**Please disconnect the power before attempting any service to the dishwasher. If you do not feel comfortable attempting this service, call a local pro, preferably one familiar with Bosch/Thermador/Gaggenau, to service your machine.**

Hope this answer`s your question's, let me know if I can assist you further. Thank`s for visiting "fixya" for your repair inquiries. Please take a moment and rate this solution to it's helpfulness to you and leave a testimony if you're satisfied.

Good luck.

I have water in the bottom and the LED read 2H,

Refer your user guide for the error message meaning. Take service center help if you find complicated.

However you check the water inlet for free flow into the machine!

Dishes aren't getting clean.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. First of all please check the Water temperature by using a thermometer inside the dishwasher to measure the water temp. It should be as close to 125 degree F to 140 degree F as possible. Now try using the temperature boost feature if your dishwasher is equipped with this cycle feature and check if this will help your wash ability issues.

Now check the Powder soap by making sure that you store your soap in a dry environment and it is not stale and clumping together. Possibly try a different detergent like a liquid or gel. Also, make sure the dishes are loaded properly, or dishwasher is not overloaded.

To check the proper filling dishwasher will fill with water up to and around the heating element. If water is more below the heating element, you may have low water pressure or a problem with the fill valve. Try & listen if it sounds like it is spraying the water around with enough pressure.

For low water pressure, try to clean the screen at the entrance of the fill valve, sometimes the fill valve can fail and not allow the proper water into the dishwasher and may need to be replaced. And, check the spray arm and pump cover for splits or leaks. Also make sure that the water is draining and is not accumulated in the dishwasher, if it is in dishwasher then check for clogged drain hoses and drain pump.

Low water fills are a very common trouble maker with today's dishwasher. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

There will adjustment in the respective compartments for reducing or increasing the detergents. Adjust this. Refer manual. Finally have a look at the inlet water quality for excessive calcium!

Dishwasher began leaking underneath when turned

I don't know how old this dishwasher is but the symptom your describing sounds like the ceramic water seal on the bottom of the impeller assy but above the motor has failed. When the seal fails it allows water to run though the motor and then the bearings in the motor fail. Once water starts running though a dishwasher motor they are pretty much shot. The reason for this is that the leak starts out slow and it leaks for a long period before you ever see the water under the dishwasher. So by the time you see the leak water has been going through the pump / motor assy for weeks or months. By that time the service technicians only option is to replace the motor pump assy.
