Hello

Welcome to Fixya.

Based on your post,"my bosch shu43c02uc wont work at all..."

This is the most common reason for these Bosch dishwashers not having power.

I would start by first shutting off the breaker. Then removing the kick plate ( access panel at the bottom ) and checking the wiring at the junction box for the dishwasher 120vac supply line.

Remove the murret's and visually inspect the wire for "resistance burn" and strip the wires back and install new fastener's if necessary to repair.

This is actually quite common to find a wire connector come loose due to improper fastening and once the unit is in use for a while the connections heat

Bosch dishwasher turns on but doesn't fill with water and start washing

There is a float in the dishwasher that sometimes gets stuck and when that happens, the washer will not fill. Look for a (mostly round) upright part that will be in the front of the washer either on the left or right side. That is the float and it could be stuck in the cutoff position (caused by the soap). The older models have it on the same side where the soap is placed. The newer models have it on the opposite side to stop that exact problem. MOve it up and down and clean out any dried caked soap that might be under it.Good Luck

Bosch SHX46A dishwasher

I have a Bosch SHX46B05UC/14 and it stopped functioning right. It filled, it ran, it drained, it sounded okay, but I finally determined there wasn't enough circulation pump pressure to swing the spray arms. Turns out the problem was a pump pressure adjustment screw, accessible under the kick plate, had backed off--now if I can only figure out how to set it properly, low enough to clean the glassware, high enough not to break the pots and pans--or is it the other way around. I also found some beans in the drain sump (easy to remove cover plate from inside with a torx driver, large object trap not locked down properly and a riser for the upper spray arms not press fit sufficiently into pump outlet (I wonder if I blew the line while setting pump pressure. I AM looking for guidance on how to properly set the pump pressure, for the moment, I simply turned it into its spring loaded range and cranked it down a few turns.

Bosch SHX46AO60C/30 won't fill with

Hi

When the Dishwasher won't fill you'll need to check for the water inlet hose, the water inlet valve and the float switch assembly. When the water fills your dishwasher, a float rises along with it. As the float reaches a certain threshold level, it shuts off the flow of water, thereby preventing a leak. Sometimes the float can get stuck in the wrong position in your dishwasher, and it can prevent your dishwasher from filling. Sometimes it can happen due to float valve and on other occasions due to float switch. Inspect the water hose coming to the dishwasher for any blockages. If the hose is not clogged then check the water inlet valve for any clogs, if the water will not even fill for few seconds then certainly the water inlet valve is bad and should be replaced. You can also use a multimeter to check continuity on inlet valve. If you don't get any value on the multimeter then you'll need to replace the water inlet valve assembly. However, if the valve is fine then the float switch assembly should be replaced. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Hi

First make sure that nothing is blocking the drain pump assembly located inside the lower front panel of the dishwasher. If the issue returns after its cleaned then try to reset the dishwasher control by taking it out and then connecting it back, if its still not resolved then it means that the control board has gone bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Bosch SHZ46B does not seem

If you have hard water, glasses can look spotted and cloudy even after cleaning. Sometimes changing the dishwasher detergent can help. The easiest solution to clearing up glasses that start to look cloudy is to add some vinegar to the bottom of the dishwasher before you start a cycle. Simply add 1 cup of white vinegar and it will clear up your glasses very well.
You should see marked improvement after the first time you do this. If they are not crystal clear then simply repeat the process until all of the cloudiness is gone. In fact I recommend to using a little vinegar in each cycle to maintain the clarity of the glass.

Note: you can pre-test this by rubbing some vinegar on an individual glass with a cloth. If you cannot remove the cloudiness by soaking it and rubbing vinegar on it then it is possible that the glass is etched due to harsh or cheap dishwasher detergent and vinegar will not solve the problem.

My SHU66C dish washer fails to open the detergent

Hi

Dishwashers use Bi-Metal strip to allow the dispenser to open/close. This strip when heat up causes the soap door spring to open up the dispenser. If this strip is not heated doesn't allow the door to open. The strip may not be getting 120V or maybe disconnected. Newer (plastic liner) dishwashers use a wax motor to open the soap dispenser. The plunger inside the wax motor slowly moves and pushes the plunger and door open. And, if this wax motor doesn't receive 120 volts, then it'll not work. Please check the voltage to the wax motor/Bi-metal strip; also inspect the connections to these. Hope this helps...

Bosch Dishwasher SHE66C06UC is DEAD.

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Based on your post it may just be a loose/burnt connection in the dishwasher junction box or a severed wire in the door panel.

** I would start by first shutting off the breaker...safety first**

Then removing the kick plate ( access panel at the bottom )...

...and checking the wiring at the junction box for the dishwasher 120vac supply line.

Remove the murret's and visually inspect the wire for "resistance burn" and strip the wires back and install new fastener's if necessary to repair.

i.e.

60f6a31.jpg

This is actually quite common to find a wire connector come loose due to improper fastening and once the unit is in use for a while the connections heat & cool, become loose from normal operating vibrations and burn up from all the added heat caused by "resistance".

Typically this will manifest in just the manner you've described.

If it looks OK there I'd remove the outer door panel ( careful the edges are sharp ) via the six #20 torx head screws...

macmarkus_168.jpg

...check for a severed wire at the pivot point in the door, typically covered in a plastic casing as shown here..
.

macmarkus_169.jpg

The small plastic blocks which may be present in the bottom corners of the door panel, i.e.

macmarkus_170.jpg
...they can be a pain to re-install, but they do only go in one way, however it is ok to leave them out...their only purpose is to strengthen the structure.

Ultimately it could be the main power switch is cooked, but I'd certainly check what I've suggested first and go forward from there. Good luck.

Let me know what you find and I'll try to assist you further if necessary. Thank you for choosing FixYa today for your inquiry.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)
