My sanibest is just humming. I am assuming that

Bail out as much as you can through the toilet bowl. Unfortunately this is a messy job regardless and you will still need newspaper on hand. If you lower the water level below that of the rubber gasket connecting it to the toilet though, you will be able to undo the jubilee clip holding this and slide the unit away from the toilet, hopefully without spilling much waste water. If you can dislodge the blockage from this angle, great. If not, you might also have to take the lid off by depressing the plastic clips on each side and accessing the chamber from the top.

The water wont go down

Humming as in has power but appears to not be doing anything? If so, it's likely stalled because of a jam or clog. Going to have to put on some gloves etc and explore the tank for starters. My recollection is that Saniflo has all their installation, maintenance manuals online (Google is your friend ;) ). Be sure the unit is unplugged before opening up the tank! It's possible, although less likely that the clog is in the piping leading to the macerator or in the bowl, you can try a plunger also... Good luck!

Won't pump. just buzzes

Most likely either jammed or motor condensor blown. Depending on how confident/competant you are, you could remove the lid to expose the pump within and, after taking a deep breath opf fresh air, check that the motor turns freely - TURN THE POWER OFF FIRST!. If the motor is free to turn it points to the condensor - to this end I think you would be best advised to seek professional help.

I have been called out to look at a Sanibest

I had the same issue before. Definitely has to do with the float switch. Could be that a piece of solid is stuck at the bottom of the float switch or the membrane (black rubber piece at bottom of flat switch) may be warped/deteriorated and will need to be replaced.

Sounds like the pump is clogged and needs to be cleaned , or the float switch is clogged or stuck . The pumps that come with these units are under ratted and should be upgraded to a better pump. But just cleaning it out and checking the float is what needs to be done.

Should the pump purge when shower is running?

The pump will purge when ever the float reaches the setting which signals the pump to purge. It doesn't matter what the source of liquid is.

Saniflo sanibest continually running , noisy ...

The float switch will be the problem.
We do not replace the switch, just change the unit as labour to strip and replace switch makes it un economical.

Toilet bowl is full and not draining away.

Your bowl needs to be declogged by a declogging tool
to get it flowing. You can buy the declogging tool at your
nearest hardware, and do it yourself or hire the services
of a plumber to do the job. Just send your e-mail for
further assistance. God bless you.

David,

I am not directly familiar with this unit but have worked with others. The bubbling sound at the end of the run does sound odd. My thoughts go towards venting of this discharge pipe; is this properly vented?
Thank you,

Can i discharge saniflo into bath waste

These usually have a larger drain line than a shower or bath. If you are draining into a smaller drain then there will be a considerable amount of backing up. This is not a good idea. hope this helps. Good luck.
