When I turn on my
hi,
There are two possibilities for this problem
1. Check the speed sensor on near the motor pulley. Remove the sensor and clean it and re-fix it. then make a try. if problem remains then
2. The motor speed controller is faulty. There is an IGBT for controlling the motor speed. If it get shorted the motor will run it its high speed.
Be sure before opening the treadmill remove the power.
ok

Crazy one ...had a professional look at it and of
Now if want to eliminate the circuit breaker first unplug the unit remove motor shroud locate the breakers connection and by-pass the breaker and reconnect the unit insert key and see in you have the same results then proceed to the next procedure below, if the unit is work without a hitch then replace breaker
Without knowing the make and model this is a good guess. Now why I say the key switch is that if it is a key you insert into a slot then its engaging the switch mechanically ( my guess you have a mechanical switch).
Now if its a magnetic key their is a glass reed switch that is engaged. The only way to find this out is to remove the upper console and if it has a back plate remove that,a mechanical switch 7 out 10 time it would be visually apparent if not you may have to remove the electronics to see it. If you a multi meter remove the switch place the leads on switch spades ( inspect the spades if tarnished then use an erasure to clean the spades) and mechanically engage the switch. Notice any hesitation in switch engaging it may not be making contact internally if so replace the switch.

Belt slipping and power supply making noise
Have you checked to make sure it is not the belt that drives the front roller from the motor slipping. Get somebody to watch while you are using the machine and determine if the motor is still spinning while the running belt has stopped.

Squeaky treadmill
If this is actually emanating for the running belt then their is too much tension on the belt at the end of the belt their are two holes this is where you adjust the tension by using a 1/4" Allen wrench. start unit run it at about 3.0 mph turn the wrench 1/4 rotation at a time counter clockwise on each bolt until the groaning stops know if the belt slips at this point then the belt has been stretched and a new belt maybe required. On the lubrication you will need silicone lube and that can be purchased at

Own a Nortic Track apex 4100i. Great treadmill.
You need to have the power supply board rebuilt with larger Caps and resistors. Look on the internet under treadmill repairs. The board is easy to replace yourself so don't have someone come in and overcharge you. I think about 4 screws and two plugs.

Hello nordictrack has just stopped
Sometimes when these machines are assembled
a wiring harness gets damaged. If you have a manual, look at the diagram that shows the upright columns where the upper console mounts.
Look for the wiring harness coming out the top or bottom on the diagram. If it is on the right, the take the screws/bolts out of the arm that mounts to the upright and lift it up, just a little to see if the wiring harness is damaged or partly disconnected. If you cant see anything, then it is time to call a tech out to troubleshoot the problem.

Its on incline 12 and wont go down
Open front cover to see if there are any visible broken parts. If not try recalibrating the incline. If it doesnt calibrate you will more than likely need an elevation motor. The guide for the gear on these sometimes will break. The motor runs but gears arent on track.
