The control unit (circuit board) uses a relay and motor to lock the door, and the board may be damaged or scrambled

The first thing to try is a "hard reset". Unplug it from the power line for a minute, plug it back in, set the clock, then try again.

If that doesn't fix it, it may need to have the control unit repaired. We do that for folks nationwide for only $39.95 in most cases.

The display not lighting at all.this indicates problem towards Display control board.Thats why microwave and oven not working .The display board needs to be inspected and replaced.----------

You can buy the substitution replacement part at searspartsdirect.com for $711.99 (price on 1/29/2011). This is a manufacturer authorized substitution part. I pasted the note about those. We need to purchase one too, but are searching for something less expensive. If we are unable to locate a less expensive option we will probably just buy a new stove, because the replacement cooktop costs almost as much as we paid for our unit when it was new. We are looking at a possible part from sharp for another unit which maybe compatible...if it is it would be $296 before s/h, etc. That is a better price, but still more than I would like to pay for a piece of ceramic glass.
Manufacturer authorized substitution: FANG-B022MRY0 may differ in appearance, but is a functional equivalent to prior parts including FANG-B001MRY0.

Go to searspartsdirect.com and type in KB3300JS and you will get schematics and part numbers for product. They no longer make the original part, but Sears sells the substitution part for 711.99 and has it in stock as of today 1/29/2011. We need a cooktop too since ours is cracked, but we are still looking for a lower priced replacement or we will probably just buy a new stove because by the time we fix the two parts we need to replace we will have spent the same amount of money to buy a new stove. Hi,
There is a fuse inside the microwave that blew.
To change the fuse you will have to remove the cover of the microwave, find the fuse, usually right where the power cord enters, and replace the fuse...

It could have blown from age a low voltage situation, or a bad component... I would try to run it before replacing the cover...but make sure not to run it empty.
