Hi The first thing I would do is remove the oven from the cabinet, remove the back cover and check the wire harness from the the oven sensor to the control board. Puksain ang mga lumang koneksyon sensor sa ang isingkaw wire at makipagkonek muli ito, gamit ang isang mataas na temperatura porselana mani wire. Eliminate the old sensor connection to the wire harness and reconnect it, using a high temperature porcelain wire nuts. The part number for the high temperature porcelain wire nuts is AP3440522 Thansk for using Fixya.

F3 and beeping on my GE spacemaker 1800 microwave oven...what causes this?

F3 is the code for a failed membrane keypad.

On most of these GE models, the keypad is not available as a separate part.

So you'd have to order so you would have to order the control panel frame assembly which comes with a new keypad.

In this case, you simply move your circuit board into the new frame.

That is a simple do-it-yourself job.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number from the tag on the oven here.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Then you unplug the keypad (as per the photo below) and move the circuit board into your frame.

Some connectors on the relays have a lock:

Error code F3 on many models of microwave oven means a problem with the touch panel, (tact switches).

Replace the switch panel to fix the fault.

Microwave Oven

I report from owner manual.

F3 means : Short circuit on key panel (your touch pad).
You get F3 error if a shorted key panel is detected for more than 60 seconds.
Solution: . Replace key panel (touch pad).

Try first unpluggign power cord for five minutes.

If you think that the problem may had been caused by water inside the keypad you can try using an hairdryer on the keypad, taking care not to melt the keypad plastic.
If that does not work, then replace the keypad.

Trouble code F3

F3 on a GE / Hotpoint microwave means you have a shorted keypad.

If you (or someone you know) might want to replace it yourself, I have uploaded a handy guide with pictures showing you what's typically involved.

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here.

There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting & testing.

If you would like to have us do this for you, we do that for $39.95 plus part costs.

Please feel free to contact me directly if you need more help.

We're happy to help you and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Micro beeps 3 times with "F3" flashing on LCD screen. Nothing works.

If it's a GE model, F3 will mean a shorted key panel.

(If it's not a GE, please reply back with your brand and model number so we can help you).

If you might want to replace it yourself, I have uploaded a handy guide with pictures showing you what's typically involved.
