Monsoon has begun and its time for our beloved machines to go into hibernation. So many of us will use [or rarely use] our cars/bikes in the monsoon.

Bajaj bikes are more prone to rust than any other bikes in India. So I have to be very careful when I leave my bike covered/uncovered for more than 2-3 days in the rain. The wheels start rusting. Every 2-3 days I have to use a white powder to remove the rusts. Now its not possible to do that all the time. I have tried using the *"brown" anti-rust. But then after a week I realised that it is useless. The wheel still rusts, but u do not realise it unless u touch the area or the rust comes off.

What causes leaks under dashboard in Trailblazer during rain?

Crawl down there and watch with flashlight while someone sprays area from outside with hose.. when you see where the water is comning in fix it.. this is how a shop would determine where the leak is.. at about $100 an hour.. spray the water gentlly so you can see when it starts comning in. I would suspect windshield seal leak.

Engine cuts out during heavy rains. This started happening a couple months ago during a heavy rain. As soon as the rain lets up (within mile or two) the engine settles down. Light to moderate rain does not...

If the check engine light is on have it scanned at Auto Zone to pin point the problem. If the check engine came on then went off it stored the code in the computer you can still pull it up.

Engine cuts out during heavy rains. This started

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM BUT WITH AN ASTRO VAN. THE PROBLEM WAS WATER WAS GETTING INTO THE FUEL PUMP CONNECTOR UNDERNEATH THE VAN, NEXT TO THE FUEL TANK.THIS WAS CAUSING A SHORT, NOT BAD ENOUGH TO BLOW THE FUSE, BUT ENOUGH TO CAUSE THE PUMP TO SHUT DOWN. BEST WAY TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM IS TO FIND THE CONNECTOR AND SPRAY IT WITH WATER WHILE THE VAN IS RUNNING. ALSO DO A WIGGLE TEST, THIS IS DONE BY GRABBING THE HARNESS TO THE PUMP AND MOVING IT AROUND, IF YOU HAVE A LOOSE CONNECTOR OR A BAD WIRE THE VAN SHOULD SHUT OFF.

Car takes ages to start if it rains overnight

Hi ....... Sounds alot like you have a grounding problem on your HT leads (central one from coil esp'ly). At night when it's dark open the bonnet/hood and start the engine. Look for any sparking or arching from plug leads, coil or ignition box. Stop engine. Find where your leads come from, four will come from a central point and make sure all conections are tight. Even remove and look for corrosion, only take off one at a time to avoid confusion and when you're happy that they're OK buy some WD40 and spray near coil and over leads and allow to dry off. This will help to prevent moisture to penetrate and will cure the problem short term.
Let us know the outcome.

Depending on the engine, if tou have deep seated plugs water is running into the plug holes andburning off. Check the sealing on your h.t. leads (plug wires )
